The debate is whether or not Curb Your Enthusiasm is a scripted show. It does not shoot with what we commonly consider to be a script. It's just a set of instructions with the lines then improvised.

It's scripted... they have story lines, character arcs, not to mention every scene builds on the previous within an episode, so that it would be impossible to not give the characters a specific direction within each scene. If there are some improved lines, there can still be a scripted show.

They don't script the dialogue, but they do script the premise and the outline of the story. So I think Curb should count.

It's scripted. Non scripted to means reality show or game show or BS like that. Curb may be loosely scripted but it's scripted.

I vote no. The whole premise of the show is that it is improv and has been pitched as such.

They don't spontaneously make decisions like Larry getting divorced, or whatever. They have overall story arcs, they have obvious scenes they want to do (like Larry screwing up in The Producers).
It should definitely count.
