I'm glad I remembered to pad the Tivo.

Ronnie is annoying the shit out of me.

As are Laura's teeth and Russell's eye-brows.

I like Lydia - I hope the Chimydia goes home.

I always forget how stupid and arrogant a few people are during the first couple of weeks.

As Jeff put it one night on BBAD, Russell is clinging to Jessie's nutsack in hopes that he will carry him far in the game, yeah people's arrogance in the game this early is usually their downfall.

What this moron doesnt realize is that EVERYONE in the house's strategy will now be to put Russell and Jessie on the block together.

BTW, Are the athletes able to participate in next weeks HOH?

This leads to a strange situation that if they all win HOH in rotation (which they could do) NONE of them would EVER be eligible to be eliminated.

Like most of the "twists" I'm sure this one will be gone by mid season.

LOL Someone should clue those housemates in on the fact they should expect the unexpected.

As far as the HoH goes, I'm betting no athletes can compete in the next HoH competition, but we'll see.

I'm sure everyone but Jessie will compete. That wouldn't be fair to exclude the other Athletes. They weren't all HOH this week, just Jessie.

Jessie has a huge upper body, tiny little legs, and a head that doesn't look like it belongs on his body.

He looks like he was drawn by Rob Liefeld.

Russel is a genius

Its like watching an artist at work

He is accomplishing quite a feat here

The WORST strategy of anyone in any reality show ever.

Jesus, maybe he thinks that HOH is for the duration of season

Re: Big Brother 11 Season Discussion Thread

LOL I agree that Russell wasn't very smart at all with his strategy to alienate a member of his team. For that matter, why didn't they seek Jeff out when they strategized? On the first week, they could have certainly secured his vote.

I also don't know what Cheema was thinking, asking an athlete to play for her in the challenge. I know she thinks she's safe, but talk about exposing your alliance.

And Ronnie couldn't keep his mouth shut for a day? He seems like a good thinker, but he tipped his hat for no reason at all. He should have just waited until after the nomination.

And don't even get me started on the competition. The word that won was 7 letters?! And the runner up was 4?!

All in all, once again, these people all deserve each other. :P

On the other hand, it could work to Jeff's benefit. As long as BB keeps this "clique" thing going, if he manages to alienate his own clique while playing nice with everyone else, he's untouchable. The athletes can't nominate him, and Jessie, Natalie, and Russell will be targets whenever another clique wins HOH.

Re: Big Brother 11 Season Discussion Thread

Lydia was very proud of herself in tonight's episode, and I'll give her credit she wanted to stay at any cost, and she's staying, but at a pretty big cost.

In order to stay she sold out all of her non-outcast friends/allies. That Russell-Jeff-Natalie fight actually happened after Lydia had sold him out.

And the thing is I don't think she really needed to. She already had five votes locked down (the outcasts Casey & Kevin, Jordan, Jeff, & Braden). She just needed a sixth. No matter what tonight showed Laura was just sitting there. You make her a better offer like say a one or two week immunity agreement between the outcasts & pops she jumps.

But Lydia panicked, and while she may be safe this week nobody really trusts her anymore (including Russell & Natalie).

I don't understand why people were trying to spell specific words instead of grabbing all the letters they could then spelling the longest word from those letters.

Russell is toast. Talk about exposing yourself as a loose cannon. What an idiot.

He reminds me of that small fireman from a few years back who thaught he was all that and got blind sided by Janelle and Kamel(?)

It seems like all these little musclehead tough guys suffer from a Napolean complex :D

I don't know I think Russell strategy is better then Ronnie's. What Ronnie is doing always blows up in the players faces. There will be a conversation between the 2 sides at some point that exposes Ronnie and he'll be out soon there after.

No, you're right, the brains aren't good thinkers. But I think Ronnie is the exception of the three. By the clips they show from him, I think he understands strategy better than most of the others in this game. His problem is that he's overplaying his hand too quickly. There was no reason for him to alert the other side of the athlete's plans last night. He did it to gain an early advantage and it backfired. Hopefully he'll learn from that, but it may be too late.

You don't "play the game" this early. Has there ever been a winner that been a major player early on? If Ronnie were smart he'd sit back and let things happen around him before he picked a side. As a matter of fact I'm not sure any one of these people have seen the show before. Michele is flying under the radar and Breadan would have been as well if it wasn't for Lydia.

Dan sort of was last year, but after week 1 he basically had to stop playing for around a month b/c of all that Brian cost him.

Drew joined the four horsemen, but that house was dominated by the personality of Jase & Scott.

Lisa was the first HOH in season 3, but she never really was much of a player.

Obviously, Dick Donato would qualify, but you can't really fully count season 8 b/c of AP.

Does anyone else want to see Jessie start acting tough and see him get in a fight with Russel? Jessie would go in all confident, talking trash because he's huge but then Russel would drop him.

The same reason that type of person has difficulty working on a car. Sure they could do it but they have no experience with the tools and parts. Not to mention they lack the dexterity to use the parts.

Russell is doing a great job of living up to the stereotype of MMA guy.

I don't care for Ronnie, so I loved the fact that he couldn't keep his mouth shut for a day or two.

Please let Chimydia go home so we aren't subjected to that face any longer.

Are they told that they HAVE to sleep in the punishment room? What if they just napped on the couch or starting hooking up with someone in their bed?

Patman 07-16-09 12:03 PM

Re: Big Brother 11 Season Discussion Thread

Supposedly they can't sleep on the couches, BB tells them to stop napping/sleeping when they nod off on the couches. They probably make an exception if they are hooking up with someone else, though. :)

Re: Big Brother 11 Season Discussion Thread

I would have rather seen Chima go, but Braden did deserve to go for what he called Kevin. Since they didn't show it on the show, he started calling him "beaner" during that outdoor confrontation.

He was right about Lydia though; she is a skank. Later in the week, she gave Jessie a BJ in the HOH room. And she did sell out her friends in the house, and given that Ronnie won't want to pick a side this week I would not be at all surprised to see her on the block again.

As for Ronnie controlling Michele's vote....give me a break. The swing started to happen early Wednesday morning when Chima attacked Michele for no reason. Since she liked Braden more and was only keeping Chima because of the clicks that was enough to change her mind and start working for the other side, and that's what would have swung the whole thing if Ronnie wasn't overplaying.

Ronnie has been trying to set up this tie vote thing for a while, and it might have been a good play if he wasn't so obvious about. I'm sure he'll try to blame it on Casey, and since he's HOH he'll have the power to back that up. Casey screwed up in the HOH competition. He should have eliminated Ronnie instead of Jeff. Jeff would have thrown it when it got to the end to make the athletes eligible for nomination.

WTF is going on? Now, they can't even refer to an offensive word like that on TV? What happened to subtitling it like bea*er. And why bleep/mute it in the first place? It's not like the person is looking at the camera and screaming it. He's digging a grave by showing his limitations in an argument and yelling at another housemate. If someone in the audience is offended, too bad. He's only calling that one person that name.

Wow--amazing what we miss out on by not watching after dark...

I think Ronnie should have thrown the competition and let his teammate have it. By winning, his cards will be shown and he will be forced to take a side, putting himself up for trouble next week. If he'd let his teammate win, she'd have taken the heat and he'd have enjoyed the ride.
