Alright so upon playing catch up with Psych season 3, I wound up watching this episode on Hulu (This ep specifically seems to have gotten pretty mixed reviews) Aside from the Lassie stuff, it's worth recommending as a stand alone for those that haven't seen the series.

I love my spoofs and thought the episode did a fantastic job of it (shooting everything at the camp horror movie-style) and it's evident that James R. really does know his 80s movie trivia.

Anyway, all around really entertaining episode, not the funniest and it is super silly but it's well done.

Plus, this is a show that deserves more love around these parts

Yeah, it's a really good homage to 80s slasher movies, especially Friday the 13th (obviously). What got me is that they got so many little details right... some of the musical cues and the framing of certain shots seemed lifted directly from films in the franchise. James Roday even appears as a talking head in the Friday the 13th DVD documentary His Name Was Jason, so it's clear he's a proud fan of the franchise.

I really didn't like this episode, and I guess I just figured out why. I don't care for the slasher movies and haven't really seen any of them, so I didn't get this episode at all.

Yeah, probably one of the reasons why the reviews were infact so hit or miss with it.

I love this episode simply for the fact that i immediately recognized that pinata as rick astley as soon as it popped up on screen.
