Rescue Me -- "Thaw" -- 6/2/09

Rescue Me

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Tommy takes heat from both Needles and Dwight (Michael J. Fox), and receives offers from Janet and Sheila; Sean tells his mother (Kathleen Chalfont) about his illness; black Shawn sees Colleen again; and Franco's boxing skills are tested.

Looking forward to it. Tuesday's are very light now.

Other than White Sean I didn't really care much for this episode.

I liked it. The bar is a genius idea this season, for the writers to really bring the ghost back in play.

Has there ever been an episode where Tommy was not beat-up and/or embarrassed? Seems like he is always being taken down a peg by the other characters.

Thos.

Yeah. Great scene. She's nuts, but I could learn to deal with it.

Thos.
Except for the time he completely kicked the shit out of his now dead brother when he found out he was giving the meatstick to his ex-wife.

Glad Tommy is back to drinking. This show is at it's best when there's strife.

I know that the critics keep saying that Rescue Me is back this season, but I find myself bored mid-episode so far.

I have found it much more entertaining than last season so far, but I can appreciate the fact that you're bored. I just have to wonder how much they are purposely holding back storyline and pacing-wise due to the season being so much longer than previous ones.

I didn't need 7 minutes of death-grip-on-crotch in this episode.

Although, to be fair, it wasn't quite 7 minutes because his hand was cramping up from holding something so small for so long.

I really enjoyed the episode. White Sean and his brother are hilarious, especially on the preview for next week.
