What Shows Got the Cut?: After the Bloodbath 2009 Edition

What shows that you watched got the cut after the networks held their upfront presentations?

I haven't watched in years, but I noticed Trading Spaces was cut. A few others I was were on there, but they ended their runs. I don't really count that as "cut".

NBC:
Life
Knight Rider (not surprised at all)
Medium (but glad CBS took it)

CBS:
Eleventh Hour (still surprised by this)
Without a Trace
The Unit (not surprised by this)

ABC:
Pushing Daisies
Dirty Sexy Money
The Unusuals (none of these were really surprises)

FOX:
Terminator
Prison Break (although it had a satisfying end and a good 2 hour bookend to the show)

Some of those shows just ran their course, they weren't canceled. The Shield, Battlestar Galactic and Prison Break for examples.

It's been rumored that BSG was "canceled" at the end of season three and allowed for one final season to wrap everything up, i.e. Sci Fi canceled it but let Moore & Co. announce that they were choosing to end the show after the fourth season when it was really Sci Fi that chose to end it.

The Unit
My Name is Earl
Pushing Daisies
Reaper

Assuming I don't pick up any new shows in the fall (doesn't sound promising) and on the chance I may drop Heroes I could be almost 5 hours lighter on my tv watching.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Worst Week (The only thing I was watching on CBS)

My wife enjoys Pushing Daisies and Reaper. I haven't told her that they've been cancelled, though. She'd just lose all interest in any remaining episodes otherwise.

Now that Mike and Juliet has been canceled, I hope they'll come back on Fox and Friends weekends.

This is the first year I was more surprised by what didn't get cancelled, particularly Scrubs, Chuck, and Dollhouse.

Shows I watched from that list:

ABC
Dirty Sexy Money
Pushing Daisies

CBS
Harper's Island

FOX
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

NBC
Last Comic Standing
My Name Is Earl

Notice how NBC has the longest list...

I enjoy all of them as well, but I, too, was shocked that they were brought back. Happy, but shocked. :)

Stargate Atlantis
My Name is Earl
Worst Week

I hadn't heard about Worst Week, that's too bad. It wasn't a great show but it was consistent.

I'm mad about My Name Is Earl. I hadn't heard that it was even in trouble and they ended the last season on something of a cliffhanger.

ABC:
Pushing Daisies

CW:
Privileged
Reaper :(

NBC:
Lipstick Jungle
My Name is Earl (Where did that come from?)

FX:
The Shield (Yup, really shouldn't be called a cancellation)

I miss Life. :( And Reaper's fate is official? :( I was also enjoying Terminator. Knight Rider was starting to come around but it was too little/too late and the lousy KITT/KARR battle didn't help.

I had read Sci Fi wanted another season but wouldnt tell them if it was the last so Moore decided to end it.

Reaper's fate is still unknown. We should know within a week.

ABC:
Pushing Daisies

CW:
Reaper*

FOX:
Terminator: TSCC

CBS:
Harper's Island

*Canceled by network, but studio still shopping show.

I was hoping for some more cancellations. I watch too many shows.

Re: What Shows Got the Cut?: After the Bloodbath 2009 Edition

ABC:
-Eli Stone (At least Season 2 is getting released on DVD...)

FOX:
-King Of The Hill (Still not sure if all the episodes aired or they have more left over, but even if it is technically canceled, I think after 13 seasons it really just ran its course and came to an end)
-Prison Break (I don't really consider it canceled, but rather concluded)
-Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

NBC:
-My Name Is Earl

Re: What Shows Got the Cut?: After the Bloodbath 2009 Edition

Harper's Island isn't really a cancellation since it has a set end date and is still airing. If it did well, they would have had a new story arc, new actors and a new show name.

I did also watch Priviledged and it sucks that it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger.

Re: What Shows Got the Cut?: After the Bloodbath 2009 Edition

Yeah, I forgot about King Of The Hill. Mainly cos I still haven't accepted the fact that it's gone. Though 13 seasons is an excellent run. Let's just hope its replacement, Cleveland, doesn't suck. Although that preview didn't help one bit, I was initially skeptical of American Dad and now I love that show.

So any word on Fox picking up MNIE? I thought that was the rumored situation after NBC passed on it.
