Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Klaus acts on his intentions to leave town with Elena (Nina Dobrev), but finds resistance from a surprising new enemy. Bonnie (Kat Graham) calls on Abby (guest star Persia White) to help her with a difficult spell. As events spiral out of control, Elena is determined to protect Caroline (Candice Accola), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) enlist Tyler's (Michael Trevino) help, while Bonnie and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) take a terrifying risk to make sure her spell is effective. Damon and Stefan have a surprisingly candid conversation about the future. Chris Grismer directed the episode with story by Charlie Charbonneau & Daphne Miles and teleplay by Caroline Dries (#321).

Episode 21 of 22

Next week is the season finale and as I posted in the other thread, this was renewed for a 4th season today.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm guessing the town is throwing some sort of dance, right?

I love this show, but that is one thing that bothers me. Not only do they have way too many dances, but I thought this was supposed to be a really small town. However.. they always have a huge turnout at the dances... like it's some large urban high school.. that has never made sense to me.

Last night was a great episode with some really unexpected happenings. I was shocked!

Dances are cheap to film and you get to put the actors in costumes. I don't see the CW moving away from the dances anytime soon, though I agree this show overdoes them.

Like Elena being drained of most of her blood, and then her friends offering her shots right afterwards.
I bet that those packed quite a buzz!
