24: Favorite President?

So now that season 7 is over, I'm curious as to which President on 24 you guys liked the most?

My #1 choice is David Palmer. No other President has come close to being as great as his character was. Hell I'd vote for him if he was running for president in real life. My top three would be:

1.David Palmer
2.Charles Logan
3.Allison Taylor

Not much to say about Logan. One of the most evil 24 villains.
Spoiler:
I really wish they hadn't killed him off. He would make a great return character for season 8
Lots of great moments with him as President.

At the beginning of season 7 I did not like Taylor that much. It felt like it would be Wayne Palmer all over again. But as the season continued, her character started growing on me. I now am looking forward to seeing her next season.

Re: 24: Favorite President?

Hands down, David Palmer!

Spoiler:

They killed off Logan? I remember him being carted out on a stretcher after being stabbed by his crazy wife but, very much alive never to seen or heard from again. I don't remember him dying.

Gotta go with Logan...that dude was awesome. I had forgotten about President "Charles Widmore."

The 24 timeline does not run for only seven years, though. The timeline stretches over approximately 16 years, doesn't it?

Re: 24: Favorite President?

It couldn't be anybody but the endlessly complex and fascinating Charles Logan. Gregory Itzin is the best actor (besides Kiefer Sutherland) this show ever had.

Re: 24: Favorite President?

Hands down President Palmer.

Logan was a great character, though not a great President, obviously. He was incredible on season five, however.

I am liking Taylor so far.

Everyone else was forgettable. I wish Wayne Palmer was more memorable since I enjoyed David Palmer so much.

I think if a real-life politician named David Palmer ran for anything, I'd feel compelled to vote for him if I saw his name on my ballot.

Re: 24: Favorite President?

logan easily. i give consideration to noah daniels though. he was so over the top that it was funny. he wanted to to nuke everyone. noah daniels and jack bauer would've gotten along well. i think noah would have had the balls to let ctu do whatever was necessary.

Re: 24: Favorite President?

Didn't even have to open the thread to know Palmer would be the winner by a long shot. He's also the one most of us are most familiar with. I'm a 24 fan, but I couldn't even tell you who a few of those names were! LOL

President Taylor grew on me over this last season... but David Palmer was "the best there ever was, is, and ever will be!"

Gardner never actually served as President on the show. After Logan was discovered and apprehended, it was only mentioned in an afterthought that Gardner would take over.

Re: 24: Favorite President?

The poll results were EXACTLY as I expected them to be when I clicked on the thread. 95% Palmer and a few votes for Logan. No doubt David Palmer IS the best and the fan favorite. Logan was a fantastic and intriguing character though, and I have to give him his just due.

Is this really even that close?

The voting should be for 2nd place.

WAIT WAIT WAIT...are you saying David Palmer was never really President? But just played one on tv? Here's another example of me living in denial through the Bush years.

No offense to mhg83, but this is a pretty pointless poll. First is anyone going to vote for Keeler, Gardner, Daniels or Wayne? Does anyone even remember Keeler or Gardner? Wayne was a pathetic attempt to recapture the magic of Dennis Haysbert and failed miserably.

That leaves D. Palmer (the only Palmer as far as I'm concerned), Logan & Taylor.

Looking at those three you have two that have only served a day(season) compared to Palmer's 3 years. Taylor turned out to be pretty good this year but better than Palmer? Not a chance.

That leaves the dastardly Charles Logan. He turned out to be a pretty solid character but the first half of the season he was a bumbling idiot. Sure it ended up all being all for show, but until you get to the reveal it wasn't a pleasant experience. You can also dispense with the spoilers, they didn't kill Logan.

David Palmer is the ONLY answer.

Re: 24: Favorite President?

This question is like asking who's buried in Grant's tomb. There is only one answer.
