Does it really matter? The original was made almost 30 years ago and alot of the people in this forum and ABC's current audience probably don't even remember it. I have no problem with a re-telling of this story.

Last I heard Kenneth Johnson was still trying to do a remake of the original and then adapt the sequel book to follow it up. Not sure how much luck he will have, but I would like to see him get his way.
