NBC has until Friday to 'cancel' Medium (and Earl). So it won't be announced tomorrow by CBS.

Medium sure as HECK better be renewed! My entire family watches it! I LOVE that show. I will very upset if it's canceled.
And as for My Name is Earl, I'm very sad to see it go (if it is true). I have had trouble keeping up with it though.

well considering this was potentially the last season of L&O this year, I can't imagine that L&O will survive more than this next year on Friday nights. At least it pushes two shows I watch (that and Southland) to a day where there's nothing for me.
As for Earl, I hope it does come back. It's not the greatest comedy in the world, but now that they got back to the whole doing list items, it got much better this season.

More notes:
Heroes will air 19 consecutive episodes
FNL will air in Summer of 2010 so they can air "all year long programming".

I'm not even sure why they are bringing this show back. Just like Cupid at ABC- do they really think a show that failed once already will all of a sudden be successful?

[selfish]I for one am glad with this new schedule and the schedule of ABC & Fox. I was watching too much tv this past season and want to cut it down by at least 50%[/selfish]

Well I will be the first and probably only to say it. FUCK YOU NBC for canceling Knight Rider. But honestly, this schedule is nothing but shit. Chuck will be the only thing i will really watch.

Re: NBC's 2009-2010 Fall Schedule - New/Returning Shows
I'll check out Community since it's on after The Office, and I'll probably take a look at Parenthood because of the cast. Other than that, I don't see any reason to watch NBC until the Olympics.
NBC either must be trying to ensure that Heroes doesn't survive next season (putting it against House, Dancing With the Stars, and Big Bang Theory/HIMYM) or they still think that Heroes can be a good lead-in (Studio 60, Black Donnellys, Journeyman, and My Own Worst Enemy say "Hi").
to Chuck coming back, but nine months is a long time and I'll miss having a Thanksgiving or Christmas episode

Trauma, Parenthood and Day One interest me.
No interest in Mercy. I'm already planning on checking out Alex O'Loughlin's 3 Rivers on CBS and don't need 5 Medical shows on my plate (including House, Grey's and Private Practice)
I love Southland and I'm crossing my fingers it does well in the fall with a fresh re-launch.
The one that I am most looking forward to is Parenthood, mainly because Ron Howard and Jason Katims are Producers.
Sucks that Chuck is delayed until 2010.

But the network said it didn't cancel Chuck "because of the demand for Chuck that came out of the online community, the critical community, and the advertising base made us have to pick up that show. The other shows had none of that attention or energy." Said one of the top execs: "I was sent more Nerds than anyone could consume in a lifetime." NBC also promised to keep Chuck alive during the fall when it's off the air through an original content online platform.

Re: NBC's 2009-2010 Fall Schedule - New/Returning Shows
They did mention that would save on production costs. Plus, it's 26 episodes which is totally feasible to get completed from this summer until spring 2010.
The only thing is Jason Katims is going to be double-dipping as showrunner with this and Parenthood and I doubt he can oversee 26 episodes of FNL and 13 of Parenthood or whatever the final ep count will be.
