Hands down, one of the best finales I have ever seen. Seriously, just incredible!!!

The only problem with this is that Christian was walking around in S1, while the cabin was probably still surrounded by ashes.

Possibly, but Christian's body was also missing...who knows.

I think the level of consensus in this thread that Jacob=God along with how hard they hit us over the head with that message tonight makes me think it is just the opposite. What if we're watching a show we think is about several heroic survivors, but it's actually about a bunch of hapless idiots who get suckered into taking the wrong side.

they need to air the last episodes one episode a year for the next 17 years

Hmmm...if Jacob's enemy is Smokey, and Jacob is the leader of the Others, then why does Smokey live beneath the Temple, which is the supposed "safe place" for the Others?

Awesome friggin season finale. I don't understand some of the hates.

If Jacob healed Locke from the fall, did Jacob somehow healed Locke again in the island so he can walk again? Either way, he got punked. Did nothing in life, only got used by everybody. Only person treated him well was Helen and he blew that.

In the opening, that other guy say Jacob bought the ship to the island. Saying they will come and get corrupted and cycle repeat again. I'm still trying to understand how this tie back to the Losties.

If Ben don't know a thing about Jacob, I doubt Widmore know anymore than Ben about the island. I think both of them are being played into this war between Jacob and that other guy.

Hey, Im with you. We don't know enough about the players. Jacob didn't shed any tears when Nadia died. He knew what he was doing.

Can't understand why anyone would think this is the worst season. To me it was no better or worse than other seasons. If anything, this season answered more questions than any other.

Yes, but he did apologize to Locke after he jumped out of the window.

I'm thinking it played the Others the entire time.

Holy Shit! Remember when the smoke monster scanned Juliet and tried to kill her!

Originally, i didn't want Jack to change time so the plane never crashes, now I do. I don't want "real Locke" to be dead. :(

When he was pushed ... ;)

But Jacob wasn't in a spot to prevent it either. He seemd like he was looking to kill Nadia, or save Sayid. One of those two ... ?

I think it is Latin. Remember the others including Juliet and CharlesW knew how to speak it.

So like someone said earlier - 'he who saved us all.'

He did, when he handed him the APOLLO bar (same candy bar that pops up every now and then).

If those two found in Season 1 are Adam and Eve...

Are Jacob and other dude Cain and Abel?

Me too and I think that's what put me in a sour mood while this aired. Wasn't until I read this thread that I'm getting over that. Cycle repeats itself/loopholes = remainders/blah blah blah.

Wasn't surprised by the locke reveal that much, he's been acting strange and the beginning of the episode forshadowed it.

Liking the theory the poster here came up before the ep aired, that smokey = richard hatch look alike bad guy and equals "help me" guy in cabin.

chanster 05-13-09 11:48 PM

Re: Lost -- 2 Hour Season Finale -- "The Incident" -- 5/13/09

Well if bad guy was "evil cabin Jacob" it makes sense if it was Locke in a wig...the guy wanted Locke's body.

Good Jacob knew what was happening and guided everybody to get to the island so they could drop the nuke and save Jacob from his death.
