Twenty Four (24) -- "5:00am to 6:00am" -- 5/11/09

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Innocent lives remain in the line of fire as this terrifying day draws to a close. Jack is faced with an unthinkable situation while his perpetually imperiled daughter, Kim, gets involved. Meanwhile, the imminent threat stokes the heated rivalry between Chloe and Janis.

The day is coming to a close. Even though there has been a few sluggish episodes (the last 2-3), I've been very pleased. I hope the season will go out with a bang next week.

It's a very strong season. I doubt very much that Jack would kill Tony in this last 3h. Probably more like stopping the release of the canister and that's pretty much it.

Only 3 left and I'm still unsure if I would rate this season higher than season 5. They are neck and neck though. Season 1 is still tops for me, and probably the only season I'll watch more than once.

Jack was so happy to...
Spoiler:
... see Tony that he gave him a big hug.

Yeah, I'm glad Jack finally got to beat the crap out of Tony. Kind of hard to threaten to kill someone when they don't really care if they live or die.

Got a good laugh at Chloe vs. Janice.

I loved how they tried to stop the guy, so he just whipped out the bioweapon and everyone backed the hell off and he bolted.

I think one of the reasons that I really like this season is that they are being much more straightforward. They haven't dragged things out, but instead solved a problem, and then had another arise that is related.

EDIT: I said earlier in the season that Tony took an interest in Kim being back in town and it seems as though Kim Bauer is once again going to be kidnaped.

Saw that coming from a mile away. Man, this show really isn't good.

Exactly. The only positive of this would be if they kidnap Kim and demand that Jack releases Tony and Jack hangs up the phone and shoots Tony in the head because he realizes that Kim causes him and the entire country nothing but problems.

Aaron is awesome. He is a smart guy and a decent person. I just hope that he doesn't die. I really, really hope he doesn't die.

Screwed. What is: Jack Bauer.

Next week better come off SEAMLESSLY or I just might lose faith in 24 forever. I have been a fan since HOUR ONE of DAY ONE. I didn't mind them bringing back Kim to possibly save Jack and when he refused her help, I worried that they would have Tony orchestrate a kidnapping; I was right. If they are going to have this happen yet again, it better be utterly flawless or this amazing season will be utterly destroyed.

Ok. They're listening to what Jack is doing, but couldn't Jack just tip off Renee and everyone else to what's going on by writing it down?

That's too easy. And besides, there probably isn't enough time.

LOL! kstublen, you win the honor for the most hilarious answers tonight!

I don't mind them using Kim. Tony would know that she's his ace in the hole with getting Jack to do whatever he wants. But man, that girl would need some serious counseling after all these years of being his daughter. Maybe that's why she dated that psychologist.

Solid episode tonight -- loved he staredown between Jack and Tony in the last scene. I'm optimistic and let Kim's storyline slide this week -- we'll see how it factors into next week's season finale.

 DVR screwed up and I lost the last minute or so. It ended right when Jack got into the van, and Tony's woman said, "Oh, and Mr. Bauer..." The end. Can anyone tell me what happened or how that sentence ended?

Yeah... I'll reserve judgement until next week regarding the Kimnapping.

Great episode otherwise. Loved Jack's attitute towards Tony from the moment he got him. Hopefully the season ends on a high note.

Love Chloe vs. Janice. The presidents daughter is getting what she deserves.

I don't think Jack has radiation poisoning, I think he is dying of a severe case of deja vu. "I've...seen....all this....before"

"Oh and Mr Bauer, if any of those agents in that van get in the way, you will have to eliminate them or your daughter will die".

Jack looks at Renee and then Tony and then

Glad to see another innocent live this season. Still pissed that the energy plant guy died.

The bioweapon was very anticlimactic, but at least that wasn't the finale. Glad we will get 2 more intense hours.

Bauer telling people to leave twice this episode. Loved it. Though Bauer saying he had nothing to lose immediately had me questioning him, since of course he still had Kim. Yes, he will theoretically die within a few hours, but still, Kim still means everything to him. Tony on the other hand, I believe him when he says he has nothing to lose.

Glad that the writers didn't even hint at Pierce being bad. In fact, I like his plan with Ethan. Olivia is swimming in deep sh--

Glad to see 24 in season one form. Kim in distress and Bauer will do anything to save her. While it may annoy some people, I love it. Also glad to see that she is married to a husband with a respectable career, and someone who wants her to spend time with her father. Kim will always be a part of the 24 family.
