At least it's not a cougar...
I have no problem with it. I said after the Tony twist that Jack loses everyone that gets close to him, whether by death or being stabbed in the back. The only constants in his life are Chloe and Kim. Jack needs something of a happy ending. They haven't given him even close to a decent resolution since the end of Season 3.

I thought this was a very good episode. Much better than last week and the week before. Evan Katz wrote a very solid script to help set up with season finale.
Really enjoyed Jack beating the crap out of Tony. The stare down was great. After getting in quite a few punches, you could kind of sense that Jack was more sad and disappointed than pissed off because of Tony's betrayal.
You know you can talk shit about Kim all you want, but she's an important part of Jack's life. It wouldn't be a 24 season finale without Jack doing whatever it takes no matter how dirty it gets to protect someone close to him. Once Jack made the phone call to Franks (who was staring at Kim) that did somewhat ruin the suspense of the couple being hidden operatives for Tony's group.
Aaron catching on to Olivia was fricking fantastic and I love that he brought Ethan into the mix. Can't wait to see what transpires of that next week.
It's gonna be a little bit sad since next week's final 2 episodes are the last ones directed by Jon Cassar since he has officially left the 24 creative team. He's done fine work for the show since season 2. Hopefully it goes out with a bang heading into the summer.

Basically, the main plotline is over. You could stop watching last night and watch the last 10 minutes of next week and be fine for next season.

Does anyone else think that Kim already donated blood to help Jack? It's kind of out there, but I could see them having the doc slip him the anecdote in the last batch of shots she gave him. It wouldn't work right away which would explain why the shot he took last night wasn't working.

Everything in the airport was ridiculous.
I love how the terrorist's entire plan revolves around Kim just happening to sit with that particular couple. And that the agent watching her would go to take a leak at that exact time. Good thing it worked out!
I also love how Kim's face takes up the entire laptop and nobody in the airport stops to ask that dude WTF he's doing.

Solid show. Jack catches Tony, beats the living crap out of him, and will have to let him go: brilliant. Kim getting caught doesn't bother me, this time it certainly isn't from stupidity. She caught on to the Agent at the airport but believes he's a baddie, when the couple really are the baddies.
I really don't care for this lame feud between Chloe and Janis, it's a big waste of time. I couldn't care less that Chloe was pWn3d by Janis about some way to decrypt info, I frankly just want her dead. Janis too. Couldn't they write tec people that aren't annoying douchebags?
Looks solid for next week from the preview... Jack will have to help Tony, have a confrontation with Rene, and give some of his infected blood against his will.

Man, this show has went straight downhilll since Tony's turn.
How underwhelming was that whole subway scene?
Can the bickering between Chloe and Garafalo be anymore corny and ridiculous. Not funny one bit.
what a shame, was turning out to be a great season.
And how dare they use the great "Pezuela" from The Shield in only 2 minutes and kill him like that and make him look like a turd.

Also, the "husband" just got an opportunity to take out that agent. That type of stuff happens. It isn't like they were going to move on Kim right away anyway. If he didn't go into the bathroom at that time, they would have just neutralized him at some other point.

Good thing that flight was delayed coming in from Boston.

Why would that have mattered? They were on the same flight as her anyway. They'd have just followed gotten her once the plane landed.
Unless of course you mean it's convenient because they didn't get to leave DC, in which case I agree with you.

Delayed or not, im sure they were already tracking her, and wouldve snatched her before takeoff. Remember Tony found out she was in town, after the compound raid, and that was several hours ago.

Yeah that's what I was saying. I don't see why it would matter if they were delayed, aside from the fact that the closer she is to Jack the easier it would be for him to try and rescue her.

The issue with the Kim plotline, for those who say they are fine with it, is that its a complete copy/re-hash of Season 1. Right down to the bad guys directing Jack via his telephone earpiece! Perhaps the people saying they don't mind this development haven't seen Season 1? But for those of us who have seen Season 1, this newest plot turn feels like they have run out of fresh ideas and are now simply recycling old material. Very disappointing direction for this season to be taking now.

maybe kim will be hurt and near death, and her dying wish is for jack to use her blood/cells to do the experimental cure. that way he can live on and avenge her death. a guy can dream, right?

Maybe it's called 24 for the number of times they're going to recycle this storyline!
And all this build up with the canister and that was the big payoff? You've got to be kidding. Just once I'd like to see a terrorist use a phony countdown timer where the bomb is actually timed to go off 10 minutes in advance of the readout. I mean if you're going to use one for the convenience of everyone at home and the good guys at least throw in a curve ball. While I'm at it I wish all bad guys would stop working from the same color code manual that has all bombs disabled by cutting the same wire color familiar to bomb specialists.

I was thinking the same thing. This looks to be a sad way to wrap up what was otherwise a pretty good season. Perhaps they'll redeem themselves in the finale.

While the Kim storyline is a rehash, the even bigger one for me is the one with Jack, who is now in the exact same position as Tony once was with Michelle: Do you let the bad guy escape to save your loved one, or do you let your loved one die to keep the bad guy?
Tony led everyone in the wrong direction to save Michelle. Will Jack do the same (or worse) to try save Kim?
