I strongly doubt Idol let Adam pose for the cover by himself--it's probably just a stock photo--but it smacks of favoritism. And a lot of the focus appears to be on Adam's sexuality. Kris and Danny's fanbases will be fired up for the next two weeks to take Adam down a peg. Especially Danny's--they seem to near Claymate/Soul Patrol level in their devotion. And you've got to wonder if Adam being gay/bisexual is going to cause certain groups to rally against him. I can imagine some hardcore Christian group using Idol as a political tool. That's wrong and stupid, but I can see it happening.

This issue arrived in my mailbox before the wife saw last week's results show when Adam was in the bottom two. If she'd done the math, she could have probably figured he wasn't going to be on the cover right after he'd been voted out, but I don't think she cares enough to bother.

A couple years ago, auditioners were being rejected after doing Janis songs, and now the Janis curse strikes again. Where's Jane Krakowski when you need her...
