I don't understand wishing for the show's demise when some of the (admittedly major) cast leaves. If the show ends up not being to your liking, it's not like anyone will be forced to watch. And if it turns out to carry a spark of the original or be OK in it's own right, cool. And what brilliant 1/2 hour replacement show is forced to sit on the bench if they do try?

Here's a pretty good new interview with Bill Lawerence where he talks about the history of show, mistakes he thinks he made, differences between NBC and ABC, its future, etc.

Holy crap! I had no idea that Peter Gabriel recorded a version of the Magnetic Fields' "The Book of Love." Awesome!

Loved Sunni and JD teaming up to get Cox to spill his guts.
So the Janitor's name is Glenn Matthews...or Tommy...nicely played Mr. Lawerence, nicely played.
I'm going to have to watch that end sequence again with all of the characters. I think this show can pull off such a move given the fact that JD constantly fantasizes and such. Loved seeing Lonnie and Hooch.
lol @ Sam & Izzy getting married. Not sure about that future dream sequence though...
Saw: Laverne, Dan, Leonard and the Old Lady Intern, Snoop Dogg Intern/Resident/Attending, The Worthless Peons, Mrs. Wilk, Keith, and Jill Tracy (just off the top of my head)
EDIT: Loved the reveal that JD actually was responsible for the Penny being jammed in the door. Wasn't expecting that. Not sure how I feel about this finale as a whole though. I thought it would be more emotional...found last night's episode a more heartfelt and impacting me more as a long-time fan of the series.

The music in this episode was great and I am glad that companies are more conscious of the dvd release and making sure they can have the original music on the dvds because nothing else would work. I have to admit that the episode was not doing it for me not bad but not keeping me drawn in either, and then pow it hit real hard. That ending was pretty much perfect for either an ending or a shift to a new cast I couldn't of asked for a better end to such a great show, and also didn't almost seem like they were trying to show how bad the hospital was starting to look.

I think there was a lot more to him leaving the window open for a new cast there was a lot of little asides to show that it would be ok.

Loved the ending with JD going down the hall and the former characters. JD and Turks reaction to their kids getting engaged was great

I think the show would be fine if it went on without Braff. I was worried about the new interns, but they are actually fantastic. I love Denise and Sunni and Howie and whatever the other chick's name is. They're actually funny and interesting. That being said, if it does end I think this was a suitable ending. One thing that makes me think perhaps it isn't over is that Lawrence always said the series would end when you hear The Janitor's real name, but they kinda left it open as to whether or not the name he told JD was his real name or not.

Good ending. Glad this season happened - it's been a nice way to end this show (at least Braff's involvement). Should be interesting to see if ABC wants to keep it going.

Colin Hay!
Have to admit, I choked up a bit at the end.

I wasn't feeling it for the first 2/3, but the last third brought it full circle for the most part.
