Synopsis:

Spoiler:

A deaf 14-year-old says he heard explosions just before collapsing during a school wrestling match. When his condition worsens, his mother (Clare Carey) won't allow cochlear implants. Meanwhile, House's insomnia is playing tricks with his mind, but that doesn't seem to bother him.

I'm actually quite surprised that they managed to find a way to bring back Cutthroat Bitch.

This was one of the funniest episodes of House I've seen in quite a while.

Is Anne Dudek preggers? Having her play House's mind was a stroke of genius.

The cinematography was really gritty and raw. It had that weird glowy background look, plus the details of people's faces were very stark and uncompromising.

Anne Dudek is soooo damn hot. When she does the crazy shmarmy face after House says something...Wow.

At least, so far, this character seeing shit storyline feels like it might work compared to Grey's version.

Does this episode look...glowy to anyone else?

I read it! (And noticed it on my own as I was watching. I thought I might have just been retarded, though.)

This was one of the best episodes in a long time. It really showed House's genius off, and then showed just how much of a bastard he is. That was a good twist. Kind of wish there wasn't that twist, but it made it very interesting.

"Just gotta' add chemical burns to his cause of death."

Anne Dudek had a baby last December. I assume she's still working off some of the excess baby weight.

Superb ep.
Wilson slowly entering the bachelor party, & House "I knew you couldn't stay away."

13 rules.

The light/gritty stuff sucked.

House busting out the Ghetto blaster with "Fight the Power" was fricking hilarious.

I've watched this show since Day One - and am amazed that it can still surprise me, catch me off guard, and keep me fascinated with the characters. It's sets the standard for series TV.

Nice seeing one of the O'Donahue twins as Karamel.

This was a damn good episode. It was funny and witty. Since House has been having trouble sleeping since Kutner's suicide as he mentioned in the episode, I think the glowy effect simbolized him being in a sleep-deprived state.

The bachelor was fun. I was actually surprised to see House so loose. I also really liked Anne Dudek's appearance in this episode. She's got some really sexy legs.

Agree about the first part. I think there are a good amount of series on that do what you're describing, but this should be the standard for a series. House does it great.

I'm going to have to watch this one when I get home because my Audiology professor said it was damn silly, and not in a good way. Sad that the writers wouldn't even bother to find out what getting a cochlear implant entails. Now I'm thinking that all House episodes are probably just as medically ridiculous. :(

Great--next thing you're going to say is that all legal shows don't accurately represent life in the legal field!
