No sweat. Now you know. People take their spoilers here pretty seriously, myself included.

I still don't even understand the existence of "next week on"s for this show. Does anyone watch just 9 random episodes of 24? It seems like you're either in or out with this show and it's best watched in sequence.

It's strictly to wet your appetite for the following episode. But, as Michael Corvin mentioned alot of people hate upcoming scenes as it ruins the suspense for future episodes for some people, especially in serialized shows like 24.

It has nothing to do with people watching random episodes, which would never happen for a show like this.

Although, to be fair, each episode begins with a "Previously on 24" segment which goes over the relevant plot points and identifies the characters, including main character "Jack Bauer", so they must not be anticipating that everyone is watching all or most of the episodes.

Not even close.
It's pretty damn entertaining yes but it's not great. It's still too ridiculous - man, what I wouldn't give for a gritty season without all this hi-tech bullshit.

24 has IMO never been Emmy worthy - compared to many actually outstanding drams on tv - it's popcorn television (nothing wrong with that)

This.

24 is the worst show that has ever managed to entertain me. What's funny is that it entertains me A LOT-- and yet it really isn't good.

Man I loved the part in the preview where

Spoiler:

Hodges is in the hospital bed, says "Who are you?" and Jack comes out.

You could see the "Oh shit ... anyone but Bauer" look in his eyes

So far.. it's been Jack on a mission and the twists and turns of Juma, the device, the bio-weapon, have uncovered some other organization pulling the strings... each episode is revealing more about how ruthless this organization is. Voigt is now seen just as a puppet, just like Le Chiffre and Dominic Greene, Im sure we'll meet Mr. White soon if we haven't already with whoever the fake lawyer chick was talking to on the phone.
The first thing you should know about us is... We have people everywhere.

And, am I the only one making the connection between the lack of Chloe, and the quality level this season is at? Aside from a few small moments, she has not been heavily featured, and I feel the show is better for it.

God whatever happened to Mike Novick? He's gotta make a return this season, maybe appointed as the new cheif of staff when the president's daughter is thrown out?

That would be a triumphant return, we've already seen Aaron come back.

I don't watch previews and I haven't read this thread.

I think that pill was a test to see if he actually would take the pill.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- Day 7 -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 4/20/09

Chloe sucks and so did Mike Novick; don't bring them back. Bring back Logan, if he's still alive, that guy was a great actor, but not his wife, who annoyed the shit out of me. And don't kill off
Spoiler:
Jon Voight- he's the "best actor" villain 24 has seen in a long time.

This may be the best season since Season 1. However, it didn't start out that well because, despite the change of location, it was merely substituting "FBI" for "CTU". Then it got good when Jon Voight showed up. But, while the show is consistently entertaining, anyone who thinks this is Emmy material is fooling themselves. Some performances over the years may have been Emmy worthy (Jack, Logan), but that is all.

Keep the following characters for next year: Jack, Renee, President, Chief of Staff guy who was fired, Logan, Janos from Ghostbusters II, and
Spoiler:
Voight.

Get rid of the following for next year: Chloe, annoying daughter of President, Janene Garafalo, and Tony (ok character, but now that he is bad, he needs to be killed this season).

Interesting gossip tidbit: In real life : The President is dating Matt Perry's GF from Studio 60.

Also, my wife watches that awful soap 'Bold and Beautiful'. The Prez on 24 vocally sounds just like Stephanie from B&B. Dont like either actress.

Now, back to our feature presentation ...

So, was his clutching at his chest a psychological reaction to what he thought he ingested?

No, I'm just saying it could be a pill that gives him similar symptoms but doesn't actually kill him.

It does help when there's a week (or more) between episodes--I actually could have used an even longer "Previously" when. Prison Break came back last week.

Does anyone think that Tony is cooler now than he's ever been before? I admit that I am sort of rooting for him, and shared his frustration every time Jack started to see through his story.

I have nothing against Chloe. Even though alot of you don't like her, I think she good to have around as Jack's go-to Tech geek. Mary Lynn Rajskub is already slated to return next season.

I like Chloe, but she is definitely better in small doses. I think she's needed just a hair more than what she has been this season, but definitely not every episode.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- Day 7 -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 4/20/09

I loved Chloe in her first couple of seasons, but I think once they realized that she had picked up something of a cult following, they started to overexpose her.

One of the good things about this season has been the way they shifted away from the tedious HQ-centric (CTU/FBI) subplots. They had some of that early in the season, but they've relied on that lazy storytelling a lot less this season.

couldn't risk more bombs, nerve gas, or asian gangsters infiltrating them

and mjr told them, that if she has to do any more green/global warming psa's she was gonna leave the show and make them mediocre
