Not impressed but love the voice cast so I'll try again...but didn't laugh once - trying to be too clever/lowbrow at the same time, didn't jive.

According to what I'm reading, Mitch Hurwitz (beyond the original adaptation and development) is mostly just a supervisor for the show, and Josh Weinstein is serving as the actual showrunner.

So rather than retroactively questioning the quality of Arrested Development, you should be retroactively questioning the quality of S7 and S8 of The Simpsons, I guess.

Except Mitch wrote the pilot

I laughed as much at this as I did during the few Arrested Development episodes I've seen. Which is not once.

Was not a fan of the pilot -- I may give it another chance next weekend.

It isn't the animation that I dislike; in fact, I found that to be the most unique/entertaining aspect of the show. The voice acting was alright, not great, but alright.

I actually liked Clerks: Animated, even though it wasn't the best show around. This show makes Clerks: Animated look like a stroke of genius though.

Didn't know or care to know about this show until I saw it. So I guess it worked.
That's an awesome promo. Definitely would have gotten me to watch it if I didn't plan to already. They're really pushing for the Arrested Development audience, which makes sense, but I have a feeling that most Arrested Development fans that saw that promo before tuning in are going to feel like they were lied to...big time. The show is nothing like Arrested Development.

Best part of the promo is the line "The we're sorry we canceled Arrested Development and we hope Sit Down, Shut Up makes up for it so please stop calling us network."

I tried watching it, but Kenan Thompson doing his female voice for five minutes was more than enough to shut it off for good. It's barely tolerable on a five minute SNL sketch, why would I want a whole series with that voice?

Yeah, FOX did that a couple of seasons ago. They canceled the show and then a few weeks later announced they were ordering more episodes. I'm not saying that will happen again, but with a whole season pretty much in the can for the fall, and the poor ratings and reviews this show is getting, who knows what FOX might decide come September.

If The Goode Family tanks over on ABC, Judge and company might be more receptive of keeping KOTH going as well.

I actually enjoyed it. I definitely laughed more watching this than I have watching Parks and Recreation (which is a shame since I love Paul Schneider). I'll admit though that the show started off really rough, but I think once it finds it's legs it could be really great.

I saved it to watch with my wife, since she is a teacher. Needless to say, she informed me that I don't need to record it for her again, and if I do, I would be hearing from her divorce attorney.

Doesn't compute, but to each their own.

I watched these this morning and not the worst show I have ever seen but I wouldn't call it good in fact I usually only laughed at Will Arnet's stuff. But that said I think there is something here that can be funny over time but this day and age that time might not come.

I watched the third episode on Hulu. I've liked all three episodes so far but I know it won't be lasting much longer. For those Arrested Development fanatics out there(myself included), Mr. Bananagrabber makes a quick cameo.

Re: Sit Down, Shut Up -- "Pilot" -- 04/19/09 (FOX's new animated series)

I deleted this off of my DVR. Once I saw it was moved to 7pm, you know this is the kiss of death.

I don't need to get into another show that keeps getting moved, taken off the air, watch episodes on line etc.

I finally went to set it to record Sunday, and saw that it was not on at 8:30, so I thought it was cancelled already. Crap.
