Ugh! I hope this isn't going to turn into the Coach and Tyson show with them exchanging smug/twatty looks for the rest of the game.

Good episode, although I'm bummed.
Coach has to be one of the most annoying players ever. He should be a drinking game the way he repeats things

Jeff had been playing Coach up all season...and know we know why. Tonight was the night Coach became a reality TV legend. What a fucking psychopath.

Had to laugh at Brendan taking his HII with him, and not leaving it with an ally. I guess we're never get to see that budding bromance between JT and Brendan blossom and grow. Stephen was probably threatened by it, and sided with the Dragonslayer alliance.

Well, not sure why JT and Stephen chose the Dragonslayer alliance over the Exile alliance, but I hope they give insight next week. Sure fooled me with tonight's outcome.

If I were Stephen or JT I would grab Sierra now that she's alone. It would be 4 against 4 (JT, Stephen, Taj, Sierra). I would try to influence Coach that Erin should be the next to go, not Sierra (bc she is stronger or some other bullshit). All the while our 4 would be voting Tyson (if he doesn't have immunity) or Coach (Stephen and JT's toughest physical competition). So the voting would go: Tyson/Coach 4, Erin 3, Sierra 1 (bc Erin would be told everyone is voting for Sierra). Now Stephen and JT have the numbers (4 to 3) and the least physical competition when it gets down to their final 4 (they only have to beat Sierra and Taj for individual immunity).

SBU soccer coach fired
Time taken for TV show not explained early on.
Matt Baker • News-Leader • February 18, 2009
"Survivor" contestant Ben Wade might survive the Brazilian Highlands, but he couldn't get through his day job.
Less than a week after Wade premiered on the CBS reality TV show, Southwest Baptist University fired Wade as its head women's soccer coach.
Wade said Tuesday that he plans to pursue an acting career.
"I'm going to be the next big thing on the big screen," Wade said in a phone interview.
SBU athletic director Brent Good said the school bought out the remaining three months of Wade's contract because Wade did not tell Good that he left the team at mid-season to be on television.
"He said he was going to be gone for a week," Good said. "And the week went beyond that, which went beyond that, which went beyond that."
Good said Wade left the team on Oct. 22 -- with two weeks left in the season -- to go to the Brazilian Highlands to shoot the 18th season of the hit reality show. He returned to campus eight weeks later, on Dec. 17.
Wade said Good informed him of the decision Monday. He said the news was a surprise and that he hopes to continue his television career.
"The administration felt like 'Survivor' was me going to Hollywood," Wade said.
"I loved my time at SBU. Obviously, now I'm off to pursue adventures in Hollywood."
Wade, a world-class trumpeter who holds the record for longest solo kayaking expedition, said he plans to leave today for California , where he will conduct the Susanville Symphony.
He said he hopes to be on an all-star series of "Survivor" and that he'd like to host his own TV program, "The Coach Wade Show."
"This has opened up a whole new world to me," Wade said. "I loved being myself on camera. There's going to be a lot of interest from the show in who I was and what I did. I'm definitely excited about that."
Wade said most of his players understood his absence last year after he explained his appearance on the show.
But SBU didn't.
Good said the move had nothing to do with how Wade appeared on the show, which premiered Feb. 12.
"Coach Wade's a good coach," Good said. "I think the choice he made to do what he did was not done in the right way. With that, there's a consequence with it. Unfortunately, that consequence is that his contract is not renewed, and he's no longer here."
The decision comes five days after SBU announced its eight-person signing class of 2009.
Good said SBU has formed a search committee to look for a new coach and that he hopes to fill the position this spring.

You're all crazy. Coach is the most entertainingly fucked up person I have ever seen. Everyone else on that show is borrrring and honestly, I couldn't get through the rest of the season with the focus on any of them.

I hate how manipulative they edit this show for the viewers. It's totally insulting. I would rather they have live camera feeds so we can see what's really going on and not what the producers want us to think is going on until tribal council. I know that will never happen but I can dream. Maybe one live season.

I actually thought they did a good thing with the editing.. I've watched every season of Survivor and rarely has a boot surprised me... if ever really but tonight surprised me based on editing. It seemed like Coach's story might have been over... everyone saw him as a fraud and a liar, at least that's what it was making you think. And Brendan still seemed to have a journey left.
Not.
I was convinced Coach was going. Nice job, Mark Burnett.

Seriously. I found him really annoying in the beginning, but now the entertainment factor is too good. I was seriously bummed when I thought he was going home tonight. I now want him there as long as possible, so we can get more coach-isms. And I'd love to hear his crocodile story.
It just gets better and better.

Good episode. Great payoff at the end. Did anyone count how many times Coach referenced 'cutting off the head of the dragon," and "dragonslayer?"
That story, however. Please. I'd rather have Coach ultimately end up on the jury because you know his questions and comments will be gold.

Coach is the man !
I agree - he's the only thing keeping me interested this year. Everyone else is just too similar. I don't really care about or like any of them.

I hope coach catches on fire and then calmly stands there and explains how this too is just another step in his journey. Then he starts running around in circles screaming. That would be comedy gold.

If he survives catching on fire, and then retells the story about how he caugh on fire and survived, you probably wouldn't believe him! LOL
