Says a lot that they don't have this show going into May sweeps.

I kinda got disapointed lately with this show. It had 2 really show a few weeks ago, but then after that the episodes haven't been that good. I really expected them to keep the pace. They haven't been that bad like earlier this season, but still.

I don't have high hopes for tonight.

IIRC, April is the "May Sweeps" this year.

So Angela's sister is Crazy Cat Lady from The Simpsons?

interesting episode. more background, was hoping for a little more, maybe in the last minute or two, but probably not. hope the final 2 episodes of the season knock it out of the park.

What else is young Angela from? I recognized young Alice from Sara Silverman Program and a few other things, but I could not place young Angela.

Boring episode. I think explaining how The Company got started is a bit too late now.

Who played young Angela anyway? She looks familiar.

Angela's younger sister reminded me of the actress who played "Milly" on Freaks and Geeks.

Anyone else like the nod to Adrian Pasdar's role in 'Top Gun' with the flight jacket and in the previous episode, the aviator shades?

My thoughts exactly, and with only 2 episodes left in the season, this "volume" is clearly going to end on some bullshit cliffhanger. This show keeps managing to string me along, but I think I'm done after this season.

Still don't understand what mom's plan was with Nathan starting his little crusade at the beginning of the season. They did nothing until it got way, way out of control.

Why dig up the dead bodies? (maybe the explained this and I missed it)

Why didn't angela go back to the camp after they had gained power? At the very least to see if there were any survivors? Or tracked down Suresh and made sure that he didn't do anything else with people with power? As powerful as the company was, what the heck was their purpose?

(btw, I thought it would have made much more sense had Alice just been dead, or only visible in Angela's dreams or something. Having her be alive, at least at this point, did nothing but muddy the plot)

The socks reveal was a nice nod to continuity, but a pretty lame payoff for it.

Re: Heroes -- "1961" -- Vol. 4: Fugitives -- 04/13/09

How can Sylar look like Nathan? The shapeshifter has to touch said person from what we have seen, Nathan has been gone since he was pushed out the window, I do not remember missing anything.

Oddly this episode was a bit slow, more needed to happen with only a couple episodes left and I thought they have been doing well, it just took forever to get to any point and there has to be a point at some time.

I think that they missed the payoff in this episode. They had the goodies bunch up in one location, explained how the company came about (and I agree with everybody, way too late in the show), had some slow but reasonably effective bonding moments between characters, good flashbacks from young Angela...

And they muck ir up by having a useless scene with Crazy Cat Lady who just disappeared. What was the point of this? She's not joining them, this doesn't really give Angela any closure. Missed opportunity.

At least the gang will stick together which seems like a better idea than having another free for all. Sylar, Please kill Mohinder.

Yup, you're just suppose to assume he's touched nathan, much like last week when the real shapeshifter turned into Sylar without them showing us that he touched him.

Just go with the flow and ignore the holes. Everything will work itself out.

Re: Heroes -- "1961" -- Vol. 4: Fugitives -- 04/13/09

When the real shapeshifter turned into Sylar I just figured he turned into someone else and touched him somehow during that time, with Nathan he has not even been around since Sylar gained that ability, so......... who knows, just ignore the plot holes and enjoy, which I do.

On a side note, they have to do something with Angela's sister or there was no point in half of what they did this episode being so close to the final.

I thought this was pretty tedious. The black and white stuff was fine (even if it felt a bit Dharma-like) but the current stuff was horrendous. Having crazy aunt Storm (seriously, another X-Men rip off?) do jack shit to advance the story was kind of brutal - not to mention annoying as fuck... the ending set up what should be a good episode next week, but this was kind of weak sauce (although the young Linderman did a great job of nailing the voice).

Wait, I am not watching a X-Men spin off series called Heroes?

Most any power they use has been used somewhere.

I wonder how they would explain how one controls the weather, what can they do that alters it.

Its possible Sylar can shapeshift to anyone he has touched before...regardless if he had the power or not.

Just about every power has been used before in the comic books. What do you want them to do, throw pennies and turn monkeys into toads? I don't think controlling the weather is really that unique of a power much like shapeshifting, flying, healing, being invisible, turning to ice etc.

What is the point? So now we know that Angela's father had a power as well. I thought the point was to show us how it all began. So now it began at least a generation before any of the characters that we're familiar with.

Who was the kid with the glasses? Obviously I know Shaft and Lindermen but I didn't recognize his name.

That would be Bob, Elle's father. The guy that could turn things into gold.

It's not that hard to think of something not immediately recognizable, especially since it was only used for her to wreak havoc on Coyote Springs... how about her ability is that she can cause Earthquakes wherever she wants - same overall effect and that would have been much cooler IMO.
