Is it sad to admit that I will not be going out tonight until AFTER I see this show? I can't wait!

When I saw her in the van I thought about that fake dialog between Joss and Eliza in the cancelled thread.

Fun episode. Liked the reveal of miss Lonely Hearts. Her reaction to the gunshot was odd. I'd expect it if her adrenaline was up but she seemed way too calm earlier on. Subtext perhaps? I wish it was Topher who had been shot.

Someone get to work on a GIF of Eliza's butt shot while walking away.
And that whole thing with Echo reading that guy's relief when they were told Sierra was on her way with a file of the mole, that was right out of Wednesday's Lie to Me.

This was the first episode for me that the series has really hit its potential. And for the first time, I can see how deep Joss Whedon can go with the storylines. Ironically, I'm not even sure Echo needs to be central to it. I love Eliza Dushku, but I think she's one of the weaker actors in the cast.

While the first scene was nice eye candy... what was the point? Whedon is (or should be) better than that. I also did not like the NSA scene - it was FAR too easy to get things in and presumably out - I realize the show is just an hour, but come on. There was also some curious things like captioning 'Imprint: Echo", "Imprint: Victor" on the screen - I don't think they have done this in the past (?), not sure why they suddenly started. I also don't like the start with show the last scene and flash back 'X' amount of time earlier, especially when the scene is intentionally misleading (it made it appear as someone got killed)
I did like making the NSA guy into a doll at the end instead of just killing him to be a real nice spin/resolution and also giving a bit of detail into the concept of "attic'ing". And like an earlier poster mentioned the Ballard/Mellie scene was real slick... though given the gratuitous first scene, why didn't she activate AFTER he had stripped her clothes off? Is it too much to ask for some consistency with the gratuitous eye candy!

Brilliant episode! Spies, swordplay and a dominatrix: who could ask for anything more? My favorite so far.
*The scene when Adelle goes back to Victor/Roger and breaks down took place chronologically after her confrontation with Dominic. She does care.
*It's obvious there still is a spy at large in the Dollhouse.
*I loved that Echo was looking at Boyd the whole time she was supposedly being imprinted with her new handler.
*The preview for the next episode establishes

Best episode yet with a few "OH SNAP" moments I don't like Echo having a new handler but I'm sure Boyd will find a way to stay close to her... I will miss this show if it gets axed.

By far the best episode yet, even above Man on the Street. These last 4 (even Needs, which seriously dropped the ball when they got around to telling us the ridiculous point of everything that went on in the episode) have finally given the show something to stand on. I can now buy it as a potential commentary on the digital age's dehumanizing effect rather than it being some vague metaphor for casual abuse. And Dushku isn't as bad as many say, but it's not promising that when she gets a new identity it's 50/50 whether she'll pull it off.
The only thing I didn't like about the episode is that, when they corner Dominic, he switches between "The NSA wants her dead and I'm a cold, heartless bastard" and "DON'T YOU SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO THIS POOR GIRL?!" in only a few moments. Also, if he's the only one messing with things in there I'll buy a hat just so I can eat it. They wouldn't spoil something that rich in possibility that soon and with a character no one would really miss.
