What sucks for me about these free previews is that I have seen/have most of these movies on DVD already and I already have a shit load of TV programs on my DVR already.

I dropped Starz HD and HBO HD last year on my local cable since almost everything was already available to rent on Blu-ray, saving me around $30 per month. I just dropped HDNet to save another $8 per month, but I am starting to regret that one, mainly because of the great selection of movies, even though I only ended up watching 2 or 3 each month. Like DJariya, I have a hard time just keep up with the network shows plus my online blu-ray rentals.

Hmmm. There are 5 HD channels including a Kids channel and a comedy channel. Wonder if there is going to be any newer movies than Enchanted and Red Belt. Never mind, I went to check out the "Saturday Premiere" and looks like either they stopped it for this promo or Made of Honor IS the premiere. Doesn't seem like its worth it for me to add this channel lineup again if the only "new" movies are from Sony.

if you have Netflix and a 360 you can pretty much watch pretty much any movie Starz seems to play exept for maybe some brand new movies on there. with Netflixs Starz Play on Watch instantly

Weird, Dish Network doesn't have this. Normally when there is a free preview weekend it is on both.

Oh well, at least I am getting five Cinemax stations for one cent per year (paperless billing, automatic billpay).

I just checked the NetFlix Instant section and they just added the two new Sony movies coming to Starz: Made of Honor (which airs tonight) and 88 minutes. They even have the new Dead Like Me: Life After death movie up to view instantly.

Of course, since its Starz...I can either choose the 1.78:1 HD presentation or the 1.78:1 upscaled less than DVD Netflix Instant presentation.

Unless its a movie I just gotta see or one I don't want to use a mailing on, I rarely watch movies on Netflix Instant. I got 208 movies in the Instant queue but with my 1.5mb net connection, streaming quality still sucks.

I just browsed through the offerings for the first day or so. Wow, I realize they don't show hits 24/7, but God, what a bunch of crap! I would never ever pay for these channels.
