Supernatural -- "Death Takes a Holiday" -- 3/12/2009

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Sam and Dean seek help from Pamela, who sends the brothers to the spiritual realm. They discover Alastair attempting to break the seal causing mayhem in the mortal world by stopping death from occurring in a small town.

I'm very happy new episodes are back.

Good episode, and I like the reference to an old movie in the title.

And I had no idea Kim Manners died until the dedication in the end credits.

Excellent episode. I forgot how awesome this show can be when it deals with the main storyline instead of a freak of the week. Looking forward to the rest of the season, and glad to see it got renewed.

Loved seeing the return of the reaper from season 2, also had to feel bad for Pamela, she got nothing but abused this season.

Re: Supernatural -- "Death Takes a Holiday" -- 3/12/2009

I liked the stuff towards the end but the ghost/astral projection stuff just seemed kind of tired to me - not enough stuff was happening IMO, but the last few scenes were decent. Was blind chick the death I'd been hearing about? (various sources said someone close to the boys would bite it this season...I really hope that WAS it, because if Bobby is bumped off, I'll be pissed).

Sam laying the smackdown on Alastair was awesome.

I love the final scene between Tessa and Dean.

So, Alastair is now channeling Marlon Brando in The Godfather?

Very good episode that became another great one towards the end. and Damn that kid doesn't sound anything like Nemo anymore.

So what do you guys think about the last conversation between Dean and Tessa? You think he's going back to hell once they complete their mission?

I had no idea Shane Botwin did the voice for Nemo. Ya learn something new every day, and such.

Good episode. I agree it was a bit slow in the middle, but it really picked up by the end.

That was a great conversation and something I hadn't even though about. Perhaps Dean's removal from Hell is only temporary reprieve. It would be a major dick move, but that seems to be the angel's MO.

I am very excited by the previews at the end of last nights episode.

Spoiler:
If Jack Bauer can't torture anyone this year, it will be a thrill to see Dean torture Alastir next week.

Re: Supernatural -- "Death Takes a Holiday" -- 3/12/2009

another brilliant episode.

This show is so successful because the stories are complicated enough to be interesting but not so convuluted that you are confused . The number of main characters is a nice manageable size .

I didn't read your spoiler, but I just wanted to say that the preview for next week looked so good that I turned it off after a few seconds so I wouldn't spoil it.

I did read the spoiler and I am really curious if he thinks torture is spelled that way or if it was some type of inside joke.

very good comeback episode. Sam looks to be getting extremely powerful and Dean won't be happy when he finds out.
