Bill urges the DA's office to bring a murder charge against Roman, but Ray Henry is distracted by news about Nicki. Bill sends Don on a road trip to investigate a tribal grudge involving the casino, but learns the license hold-up may be due in fact to his brother-in-law Ted-and the church document he bought from Alby. Having reclaimed her identity from Nicki, Margene decides to launch a start-up business selling bracelets. Nicki seeks refuge in her past; Sarah struggles to map out her future; Bill has a close call with the Greenes. (TVMA) (AC,AL)

I'm hoping the Hendrickson boys are out for revenge. I hope they get it.

Fantastic episode... Nikki's finally living in the hole she dug for herself, it will be interesting to see how (or even if) she digs herself out. I'm guessing if she does, it won't be this season. I wonder how much damage she caused the family too.

Once again, the Greene's sure are creepy, especially Selma. I didn't even realize until last weeks show that she was a woman! :o Who was the belt guy?

Loved this episode. Amazing.

One thing that's really struck me about this season is how dense it is (in the good way). I can't think of a single scene in this 8 episode run that felt unnecessary, or like it was filler. Every storyline is getting more complex and paying off in unexpected ways. As much as I LOVED HBO mainstays The Sopranos and Six Feet Under, both those shows could drag at times or tread water for an episode or two (Tony's dream sequences, WTF were they?). This season of Big Love has been nothing but payoff after payoff.

I could not agree more. It seems like the writer's strike helped some shows. With less time to tell their stories they had to get to the point.

Oh boy. Is this getting intense or what.

When Roy turned up at the house, I had no idea where it was going to lead.

Albie is great. coming into his own. Not sure where the Bishop is going to come into it though.

I think the belt guy was another one of Greene's wives.

Fucking amazing. I was on the edge of my seat when Roy showed up at Bill's houses. Nikki is so ridiculously conniving that it is amazing. I wonder if they are going anywhere with the guy who showed up at Wanda's house. I'm guessing that was her first husband.

I loved that she went from person to person trying to dig herself out, and this time no one was there to save her ass, until Albie I guess.

Wasn't that Wanda's brother?

As much as I hope Nikki gets what she deserves, I can't help but laugh at Bill and Barb possibly getting screwed over by her. They both like to be so controlling, but had no idea about all this stuff Nikki was doing right under their noses.

I  at Margene almost every scene she's in. And Nikki continuing to be a bitch to her even when she has nobody supporting her.

Great episode last night. Intense scenes at Bill's office w/ Green and Co. and at his house when Ray showed up.

That was Wanda's brother, but he was also interested in Nikki. He seemed a little young to be her first husband though, I figured she might have been fixed up with some disturbing old guy.

Plus, isn't he also the current Heroes villain? Maybe he's just looking for Peter Patrelli.

"She's" ;) probably the creepiest person/character I've ever seen.

Intense episode.

Zelko has a lot of guest roles in different shows, he's a good creepy looking actor.

I'm guessing he was Nikki's first husband and will show up again.

JJ was revealed to be Nikki's first husband a few episodes ago (the same one in which Bill discovered that his sister had been married against her will prior to her suicide). This was the first we've heard of him being Wanda's brother.

I suspect Joey is going to do something rash.

Re: Big Love : #32 "Rough Edges" -- 3/8/09

Didn't Wanda say Nikki's first husband was 52 and Nikki was 15 when they got married? I'm assuming Nikki's around 35 now, this guy looked a lot younger than someone in his 70s.

I love this show, but I swear....I am so confused sometimes about who is related to who and how.

Aren't there 12 per season? There should be 4 more after this one.

Excellent episode, once again. I'm a little puzzled about Nikki and JJ as well. Regardless, it's good to see Zeljko Ivanek in the show. He brings big-time creepiness to any role.

Interesting thing about the actress (Mireille Enos) that plays Kathy/Jodeen... She's married to Alan Ruck (Cameron in Ferris Beuller), who's almost 20 years her senior. The dirty old man... :)

That was the strangest episode ever. It was like Big Love on speed. It felt like an extended version of "previously on" or "on the next" Big Love with everything being so rushed. It was so disjointed that it actually felt like one long dream sequence. Did anyone else feel this way?

Now that I know it's a shortened season I'm wondering if they cut tons out to make it only 10 episodes. It just felt like the editor jammed as much as possible in this episode. I hope I'm wrong and it goes back to normal, but that was just the strangest episode I've ever seen.

I just started watching this season with the wife. She's been a fan from the get go. Is there anyway outside of Netflix or buying them I can watch the previous seasons? I mean legal ways of course.

I don't need to purchase them and Netflix would take awhile.

I don't believe so, I mean, it's HBO so I wouldn't expect to find them on Hulu or anything like that.

HBO On Demand cycles through them at a good clip. You can probably catch the whole run in a couple of months.
