Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Cupid's arrows fly in Scranton on Valentine's Day when Michael encounters an enigmatic lady at a blood drive. Meanwhile, a "lonely hearts party" at the office yields potential romances for Dwight and Kevin. And Pam and Jim share an uncomfortable lunch with Phyllis and Bob Vance (of Vance Refrigeration).

Fairly weak episode. The "Aaaaaaaay" bit at the beginning had me laughing but it seemed to kind of fizzle out from there. The fact that we're about 3 weeks removed from Valentine's Day really didn't help matters either.

Yeah...what was up with the past two or three weeks of repeats and then they finally give us the Valentine's Day episode on March 5th?

I thought it was so-so. The dinner scenes with Pam and Jim were rather insipid.

"I was so nervous about this I didn't eat for three days"--pass out--very funny.

Overall I dug it.

I thought it was actually a pretty nice episode. Sweet and lightly funny, we got to see the better side of Michael, one of the better cold openings of the season, one of the better codas, and Dwight was funny without being too over-the-top. Lots of good stuff in this one, in my book. Probably my favorite episode of the season so far.

Yes, it would have played much better when it was actually Valentine's Day week. Still, I thought it was very good.

Yeah, that didn't make any sense.

Dwight's bit about his, er, little Dwight was hilarious.
Spoiler:
He can suck his penis up inside itself

Also, did anyone else notice Phyllis swishing the water in her mouth after
Spoiler:
she and Bob Vance came back from the bathroom? I wonder if she was trying to get the taste of something out of her mouth. It was subtle but I rotfled

I tuned in right before the Phyllis thing, it wasn't THAT subtle but it was pretty funny. Bob putting his meat in her mouth was a nice continuation of the scene, nice touch with the mushroom erm tip.

I was so confused at the beginning that I had to check the episode info to make sure I wasn't watching rerun.

The couples subplot wasn't too funny but I was hoping for the blood drive lady to show up at the end. Kevin is too awkward.

I thought the end was pretty funny with Stanley and Phillis trying to fake giving blood for the cookie and Creed stealing blood

The rest of it was pretty mediocre, but it was nice seeing everyone pull for Michael.

Funniest laugh for me was when Kelly said Michael's encounter was like a modern day Enchanted. That, and the Valentine's card from her dentist!

I'm wondering if we got a big revelation this week?

Spoiler:
We find out Andy is off on one of his honeymoon and Oscar mentions having feelings for someone who wasn't gay, then one of his friends saw him at a gay bar in St. Louis. At the time the mention of someplace so far away seemed odd, but could it be Andy?
When they went to Canada a couple people mentioned there maybe being a spark there. The only part that doesn't seem to fit is who would go hot air ballooning in St. Louis in February?

in response to majorjoe23
Spoiler:
He hot air ballooned in Napa, and also went to the Bahamas and Disney.

That is an official NBC website, but it could be non sanctioned by Office writers I guess.

It was probably just a crazy theory, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I think you meant to say "retract" and not "suck."

It probably aired now because sweeps got pushed back due to the DTV conversion. I'm only guessing...

Creed stealing the blood was the best bit

You could see Dwight retract ..

Probably as weak an episode as one could get. Not even a giggle from me.

Meh episode last night -- Creed's bit at the very end got the biggest chuckle from me.

I laughed several times so for me it was a good episode.
