Simpson 03-01-09

Did not see a thread for for this one. As a school teacher who works with two standard of learning tests grades, I found the whole scholastic testing plot line unfortunately close to the truth. :-)

Too bad FOX's lame late NASCAR programming ran over my schedule to record it. Stupid car racing.

On hulu, though. Saw a new feature to watch a long commercial at the beginning, then the whole episode without interruption.

I've only watched the last few seasons off and on, but I've caught the last couple in HD. The message was good about the standardized tests, and I liked the beginning of the episode, but the rest was still too random for me, and it really fizzled out at the end.

Sideshow Bob showing up as Frasier Crane during the open was good

Homer's injury dream ending with Marge and Lindsey Naegle making out was pretty funny

I guess the show is in HD now right? It looks AWFUL on a regular TV. Kinda like pan and scan but backwards.

I felt like King of the Hill did the same story earlier this year... Well they did but it just seemed like a generic plot summary we've seen before.

homer recalling all of his injuries over the year was pretty funny. as was the intro. they are getting pretty damn creative with the new one.

With the injury thing I thought briefly that this might be a clip show.

Re: Simpson 03-01-09

When Mrs. Krabable tried teaching the kids the patterns to the test, I just about lost it. Whenever I took those tests, I always wondered if there was a pattern to the answers.

I was hoping for a Family Ties reference in the opening credits, but the Cheers one made much more sense with Sideshow Bob being in it.

Pretty good episode. Maybe the writers having been saving up their best material for the HD transistion.

Ralph running in circles on the barge had me cracking up. Loved the Homer accident montage, too.
