Re: Heroes -- "Exposed" -- Volume 4: Fugitives -- 3/2/09
This episode sucked. Between Parkman and Peter playing dualing Obi-wans ("These are not the Heroes you are looking for...") and Claire and Aqua-boy getting wet and cozy, I nearly turned it off. The only redeeming part was more on Syler's backstory.
God, I think I will have to watch 24 live and Heroes on DVR delay, if at all.

I actually liked this episode; I'm glad that they've gone in a direction where there's the on-going arc but they aren't throwing people on the screen just to get them in an episode.

Wow, really? To each their own, but I thought this was the best episode of the volume, if not the season. Not too many characters, storyline moving forward, intelligent usage of both powers and their weak spots, and an awesome cliffhanger than had me cursing the show for being over (I purposely don't look at the guest star credits for just this reason).
Uh, once? That's the first time Peter's *hugged* Nathan to get his ability. He was holding Nathan hostage in the forest after the plane crash and the other two Hugs Of Betrayal Peter's had have been with Arthur taking Peter's ability and Nathan in the first episode of Fugitives, after which Peter was then tasered and imprisoned. So if anything, Peter's both learning and using it to his advantage.
Well, the next episode is the first one Bryan Fuller is back for, FYI.

I agree, I mostly liked the episode and agree that it's the best of volume 4 so far. No Mohinder, no hissy fit between Claire and Noah, Peter and Parkman actually using their powers to the best of their ability, and some nice development: I liked how Claire's mom got involved to help waterboy. The continuation of rebel's involvement to help the heroes, the hints that Angela Petrelli is helping Peter, Nathan's realization that he isn't in control of his group to round up the heroes after saving Peter's life, and that some characters from volume 3 start to resurface. I liked Sylar's scene where he remembers that his dad used an ability and killed his mom.
Not too much that bothered me, the Claire & waterboy kiss, is Claire gonna have feelings for every hero? Waterboy's muscles. This guy is a comic book geek, he wouldn't care about lifting weights! Hero of the week getting captured is Parkman, we can do without a hero being captured one of these days... And Luke should just shut up at this point and let Sylar do whatever he wants. He's getting on my nerves.
Overall, a solid show, let's try to make it 2 weeks in a row. But that will be difficult if they continue alternating characters, Mohinder should be in next week.

Not a bad episode...but still some WTF scenes.
As already mentioned, the "hug and fly".
Peter and Matt pretending they are Obi-wan (the camera movements are comical).
Rebel hacking every computer possible.
Peter and Matt thinking hiding out in Issiacs studio is a good thing (Nathan never thought to look there?)
No Ali Carter or Mohinder.
Next weeks might be...good?

I think Peter can control whether or not he absorbs the power. Last week, he carried Parkman while flying, and I thought it would be bad their skin accidentally touched while 100ft in the air. But then this week he absorbed Parkman's power through his shirt sleeve, which leads me to believe that Peter has control over whether or not he takes the power, and it's not necessarily an automatic skin-contact thing.

I finally gave up on Heroes. I used to love it but stopped watching about 3 episodes ago. I had them all DVR'd but then the other night I just deleted the unwatched episodes and deleted the season pass.

And yet you continue to post in the threads about the episodes you didn't watch.

I haven't watched it yet, it's saved in my DVR, but wanted to read some comments.
Should we be more excited to know(discover?) who the REBEL is?

i always defended this show as being okay if you dont think too much about it, but last night i was rolling my eyes so much i nearly broke my optic nerve. I found the episode to be amazing terrible and predictable. its almost like they have a new writer for each episode and they're not allowed to look back more than a episode to see how the characters are developed.
I am a human being and thus like routines, and Heroes is part of my money night routine so i will continue watching it. I'm hoping the return of the Pushing Daisies writer will being the series back on track

I'm more amazed that an apartment in NYC has gone unrented for so long.
