Re: Heroes -- "Exposed" -- Volume 4: Fugitives -- 3/2/09

The show takes so much time to do things so awkwardly. I mean, why the hell did Claire have to escape with Aquaman if only Aquaman was the one doing the escaping? When they cut back to Claire in her bedroom it was like wtf?

Never thought they'd make a character we'd be begging for Sylar to cut his head off. But succeeded they have.

When Peter fell off that building and then flew off, my hopes were risen when I thought maybe Peter had flew himself and he actually had multiple powers, but alas no, it was just Nathan, again.

Will Bennett be the one to put creepy bald guy down? Or will Peter grow a pair?

My wife made that same call last night. It could be. It's the only avenue right now that makes sense.

This may be a retarded theory, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Taylor Cole turn out to be Rebel.

She's from the webisodes back in Season 2 (The Recruit).

Spoiler:
She's a teleporter that works for Homeland Security and was last seen guarding Teressa Strauss and then sacking the Bennetts' place looking for Aqualad.

Ep was ok, due to the limited arcs and a more focused (but still kinda lame) story.

Just what we need a fat guy with a beard as another character.

Spoiler:
I'm still thinking "Rebel" is "Wireless" from back in Season 1 and the comics. Since her consciousness exists "on the net" right now so to speak, it would make sense how she'd be able to know everything she knows and get into computer systems with ease.

Spoiler:
Apparently, she can teleport. I'm kinda pissed that there doesn't seem to be a way of knowing this without reading the graphic novels or watching webisodes.

Anyway, decent episode. Liked the Peter/Parkman stuff. Thought Angela whispering what was going to happen into Nathan's ear was a bit of a cheap move on the part of the writers. But by far the part I disliked the most was the conversation between Claire and Alex about how she doesn't believe in love anymore and blahblahblah. The whole scene was very poorly written and her lack of acting skills didn't help.

Also, Alex seemed genuinely freaked out when Claire's mom said she was only 17, which seems to put her in the "jailbait" category for him. Yet, mere hours later, they're having a makeout session at the bottom of the pool. Gross. Why the agents didn't search the pool more thoroughly for a kid that can breathe underwater is a mystery to me as well.

That annoys me, too, since
Spoiler:
I thought my theory would make a nice twist for her to have powers. Now I know she does, but it doesn't seem likely she'd have teleportation powers along with "wireless" powers.

Also, what was up with the music in this episode? Wendy and Lisa give a touch of class to a questionable show every week and now this crap? Seems like more committee thinking pounding the show further into the dirt.

Don't know why but Claire got me a little hot this week.

Anyway, I thought the Peter and Parkman break in was pretty good. Especially Parkman's "wus up" nod at the Camera.

One of those shadowy evil corporations bought it as a lab for Suresh, and since they're no longer a going concern, I guess it's just floating around in limbo.

It's not any dumber than half of season one's episodes having at least a couple of scenes at that goofy diner in Texas.

Didn't Sylar kill the puppet master last volume? Or at least he left him unconscious in a building that was shortly to explode. Which on this show only points to him surviving I guess.

It was probably the fact that the mother mentioned that she was 17

So another season another explosion they're trying to prevent? Aren't they going to that well a little too often?

Peter's powers make no sense. A few weeks ago everybody he touched he absorbed, now he can control who he absorbs from?

Looked like a typical swimmer/water polo physique. The character did say he discovered his power on the swim team.

Me, too. Seemed like she was actually wearing decent makeup.

Swimmer-dude was doing it wrong. After she told him about the relationship thing, he should have explained to her what hit it and quit it means.

LOL yeah I like Brady.

So this kinda sucks, having to read the comics and watch the webisodes to know everything that's going on.

Re: Heroes -- "Exposed" -- Volume 4: Fugitives -- 3/2/09

I used to read the comics. Now I just stick with the show as I don't think it deserves any more attention that. I am hopeful for next week. I don't have any long diatribes about this week since it was just more of the same.
