... FYI, Speedle was originally on CSI: Miami... before he died.

first words out of my mouth when i saw him! his contract must have finally ended w/ CSI: Miami so he can do TV again.

that was a kickass 2 episodes. i've now forgotten that abortion of last season because this season has totally redeemed the show.

Yes, I loved the giant picture of the White House...terrorists obviously need a picture to show them what the White House looks like. I wonder if it's a limited hand draw edition.

Intense episode, but one thing really bugged me. How come no one bothered to use their cell phones? (ie. Aaron or the Presiden'ts daughter...surely they must have cell phones on them). And again, what's with the lockdown room having no way of communicating with the outside world whatsoever. Who designs these lockdown rooms?!?

i'm assuming it's one of those things that when they took control of the white house, they also took control of "communications." sort of how jack's walkie didn't work anymore.

Really enjoyed the second hour tonight. Agreed at the LOL at the giant White House drawing and the ability to swim most the way to the White House.

Also thought it was a bit funny that the timespan between the cop getting shot on the road and Renee getting caught by Dubaku's son was about 10 minutes--she had run far...but it only took Moss about 1 minute to reach her after he found the dead cop. Maybe she and Dubaku's son had stopped for a cheeseburger at the local McD's or something before resuming their chase...

I was hoping Walker would keep the confused look when she sees the White House drawing, then flip to yet another sheet underneath it that just says THE WHITE HOUSE.

Freaking intense 2 hours, though. Loved it. I'm miserable watching it week by week, though.

Those were some of the best hours of television. This is immensely better than season six. Cant wait for the bluray

Did anyone catch the paintings in the White house? One looked like Logan. Didn't spot the rest.

Best episode this season so far....
Finally they give the great villain Tony Todd some screen time....
It's been awhile since Redemption so I'm glad to see him on the show....
Plus it's good to see Jon Voight & Rory Cochrane finally showing up for a cameo.

Very enjoyable 2 hours. It's official, when/if Walker dies that's when I depart the show.

I was a bit miffed that Aaron didn't put up much of a fight.

Yeah between the end of the first episode and the beginning of the second, she swam at least a quarter mile and then ran her ass off for 15 minutes straight. Agent Walker's ready for the Ironman competition.

i don't know, i was laughing the entire episode. the ease of taking over the white house, the incompetant secret service. into a drainage sewer, disable ONE infared grid, and bust through one wall and you're in the freakin white house. I thought how wesley snipes snuck in on murder on 1600 was laughable. it was the worst 2 hours of 24 i've seen in a while. I also like how there was no surveillance whatsover when juma and his troops were getting from one place to another. the chinese embassy was better protected.

I saw Nixon's portrait. Logan looks like him, so maybe that's who you saw.

Solid two hours, especially the 2nd half. The plot is beyond absurd, but at this point I've come to expect that from 24. Seriously though, who in God's name would want to be President in that universe?

Air Force One - Keeler is shot down
Marine One - Bauer kidnaps Logan
The Bunker - Palmer Version 2.0 is injured by a bomb
The White House - Taylor and her daughter are taken hostage

And that's not including the multiple attempts on David Palmer's life before, during, and after his term.

I did love Jon Voight's intro(not counting Redemption). He gets interrupted while eating Chinese takeout, makes a reference to fertilizer, and then chills by throwing some darts. Plus he's hanging out with Slater from Dazed and Confused.

I have a bad feeling at least one major cast member will bite it next week though. It better not be Bill or Aaron!

I liked how Bill asked Jack if he would do what he was told to do, and Jack crossed his fingers behind his back and said OK, whatever you say.

I think it might be Aaron. I'm hoping it's the Prez. I was okay with her but lately she's just become annoying. Almost Kim Bauer annoying.

Tense last hour. I was just hoping Bill or Aaron wouldn't die. It didn't look good for them.

One thing had me...

How did they know what the daughter looked like? Voight had the picture, not Juma. You'd think that they would have gone after her estranged daughter long, long before this whole attack went off.

Either way, what a shitty President.

Loved Jack shooting the phone with the taser.

When we first saw Jon Voight, I thought he was going to end up being the vice president.

How about "Tasered the phone" as a catch-phrase for a show returning to its former glory?

not as funny as them showing the shot of Juma's men starting the drill up as the last second of the first hour ended and the big ole hole that was present at the first tick of the clock of the next hour

someone must have forgot the clock doesn't keep running during commercials of back to back episodes

lots of suspension of disbelief involved in these 2 hours

Yes, but when Juma was looking through the hostages, he asked them to lift their heads so he could see their faces. He then determined she wasn't there.

And for the boat thing - Agent Walker should have just tossed her phone aboard, since apparently it's so easy to 'triangulate' it.

I was thinking the exact thing - would've been a nice Homer moment.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- Season 7 -- "6:00pm to 8:00pm" -- 3/2/09

Awesome Awesome 2 hours tonight!!! Totally makes up for some of the sloppy writing from last week's episode.

We are already at the mid-way point of this season and it totally blows season 6 away by a landslide.

Great casting bringing Tony Todd and Jon Voight aboard.

I have to agree with the comments that Jack tasering the phone was some of the best unintentional comedy this show has ever done. I couldn't stop laughing.

One observation: Did anyone notice that President Taylor said that Jack has served under 3 Presidents? I counted 4 (Palmer, Keeler, Logan and Wayne) unless they aren't counting Keeler as a full term?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed Vice President Pirate Master
