I agree. I'm surprised at the many negative responses. Overall, these past 2 episodes have been LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than any one episode last season.

I agree that Hayden is the weakest actor on the show--I think she's overdoing it. And HRG is a bit unnecessary in the scheme of things now. But everything else is falling into place nicely. I like the setup, the drama and they seem to have done away with some of the problems. Hiro can't just fix things by going back in time. Peter can no longer take on every power. Parkman has a new power that actually makes him a bit more necessary.

It's not perfect, but it's 100x better than what we saw just a couple months ago...and this is before the real retooling starts. I can't wait to see where this is going. I just hope people give the show another chance if it keeps this up.

And I say that as someone who pretty much gave up on the show last season--it was AWFUL.

Here's hoping Daphne is really dead. She's the cutest thing on the show but her power is so silly. If she runs that fast why don't her shoes burn up? And how does she manage to get across the oceans?

Superspeed is a fairly common super power. It's right up there with super strength and flying.

You might as well ask why Nathan's clothes don't rip to shreds when he flies at high speeds.

On a show with time travelers, mindreading/controlling powers (which inexplicably become seeing-into-the-future powers), etc., it's the superspeed that is silly to you?

Now if you had asked how she can possibly carry another person with her while speeding around, I could understand.

She is too powerful, though... it's been shown that her super speed combined with Ando's power can also allow them to time travel, so taking her out of the loop closes up that option.

I, personally, do not get why people think Daphne is "cute." Maybe, if she didn't get her hair done with a lawnmower...

Hate the Sylar sidekick part, with powers like he has and the way he acquires them, why would he need one!?

I love how Mohinder and Ando both lose their accents when they get excited.

It's all in the face. It also doesn't hurt that she's relatively stacked.

Yep, that and she just seems like a cool person. At least she does to me. That said, although I think she's adorable I'm not into the Platinum Whoopi Goldberg hairdo on her.

Here's a nice pic of her without the Blonde Whoopi hair.

True. In the comic books, they have special suits don't rip or burn up when they move so fast.

Sylar said something to the effect of, "This can't be a coincidence with my father having a house just down the street."

It's Sylar's little half-brother. If there's one thing Sylar's always searched for, it's a family. Like the Manson family, maybe, but family nonetheless.

Ah, that makes sense and gives the writers reason to keep him around. It seemed a bit strange to me that Sylar kept him alive and then welcomed him on board. I bet you're right.

Actually, when I saw Sylar and Microwave Boy begin to 'bond' I thought of the whole Sith Lord and Apprentice shtick.

Question: Please tell me Heroes didn't really kill off Daphne! -- Patty
Ausiello: Heroes didn't really kill of Daphne -- at least not yet.

Surprise, surprise. They don't have the balls to kill off anyone.

I wonder if Hiro's power will be different when he inevitably gets it back. I could see them limiting him to teleportation.

Really? Because in the "Office" thread two minutes ago you posted that "Lost" is your all-time favorite show. Which is it?

I just don't get why Peter doesn't just grab his brother, fly up and drop him in front of the hunters. Would be a nice fuck you to him that he deserves. He'll either die or have to fly away on his own and out himself.

Sylar needs a sidekick because he's capturable. it's a lot harder if you have an accomplice.

Hiro also has seemed to gain fluency of the English language when he lost his powers. I guess part of the evolutionary process is that you naturally speak better English.

The show's just unwatchable now.
