Jeffrey Donovan more than doubles current salary

He plays the coolest guy on TV. Now Jeffrey Donovan has a cool new raise to match.
The star of USA Network's breakout hit "Burn Notice" has renegotiated his pact with the series' producer, Fox TV Studios.
Under the new agreement, Donovan will be paid $125,000-$150,000 an episode, a big bump from the $55,000 he used to make.
As is the practice, especially in cable, the cost of the pay increase will be shared between FTVS and USA.
Donovan's new deal also adds one year to his original seven-year contract for the show.
"Notice," which launched in July 2007, is in the midst of the winter portion of its second season.
On the stylish action dramedy, Donovan plays Michael Westen, a blacklisted former spy helping people in need while tracking down the people who burned him.
It has become a star-making role for Donovan, who before that toplined USA's short-lived series "Touching Evil." He went on to co-star in Clint Eastwood's "Changeling."
"Burn Notice" ranks as the top cable drama series among adults 18-49. Its winter premiere two weeks ago hit a series high in the 18-49, which was eclipsed by a demo record last week.
Donovan is repped by Paradigm.

That's a nice raise and a really long contract for Donovan. I know it's standard to give talent long-term contracts, but I don't think Burn Notice is going to last 8 seasons.
Now did anyone watch this episode?

Great episode. They brought Seymour and his bodyguard back, and he had some really funny lines. Marla Sokoloff had her cleavage out & the crew pulled a pretty slick con.
"Sometimes a blacklisted spy can be standing right in front of you and you don't even know it"
-Michael
"You are such a badass"
-Seymour

Anwar is the one I can imagine might have gotten the least starting out. I hope she does end up with a bump and that Campbell does as well if he didn't start out with a decent salary given his notoriety.

Gabrielle Anwar is English. Her character Fiona is Irish. If I recall correctly, Fiona dropped the Irish accent after the pilot because she didn't want to sound like a Leprechaun while working in Miami.

8 seasons seems like a long time, but then look how long Monk has gone for, or how long Dead Zone went for. USA is pretty good to shows that are good to them.

I get a big A-Team vibe from this episode, only because I can't directly reference other 70s/80s shows with a similar format.
I don't see this lasting eight seasons. If anything, I don't see how it could go past four seasons. It's already getting a bit formulaic.

I didn't see a thread for the new episode and I am too lazy to start one right now, but I just wanted to say WOW. I usually hate hostage episodes (primarily because it seems like every single show has one at some point), but wow, this is how you do a hostage episode! I loved it!
My husband has never seen this show and I am thinking of showing him this episode just because of how entertaining it was.
