New Rates for DIRECTV® Service: New prices take effect March 4, 2009

New Rates for DIRECTV® Service: New prices take effect March 4, 2009, and will appear on billing statements issued after that date. See the detailed information below as it relates to your service.
If your current DIRECTV base package price is part of a national promotional 12-month or “Lock in Your Price Until 2010” offer, you will continue to receive this price for the remainder of your offer period. As of next month’s bill, your promotional price will be shown on your statement as the new price along with a credit. Note: if you change your current base package, you will no longer receive the credit.
Base Packages: Base packages include local channels, where available. If DIRECTV does not offer local channels in your area, programming packages are $3/mo. less than the listed prices. Packages and their new prices: PREMIER™ $109.99/mo.; LO MÁXIMO™ $109.99/mo.; PLUS HD DVR™ $75.99/mo.; PLUS DVR™ $65.99/mo.; CHOICE XTRA™ $60.99/mo.; FAMILIAR ULTRA™ $57.99/mo.; CHOICE™ $55.99/mo.; PREFERRED CHOICE™ $35.99/mo.; SELECT $48.99/mo.; BASICO $32.99/mo.; BASIC (international package) will increase to $12.99/mo. (local channels not available in BASIC).
The following base packages*: FAMILIAR™, TOTAL CHOICE®, TOTAL CHOICE® PLUS, TOTAL CHOICE SELECT™, OPCIÓN ULTRA ESPECIAL®, OPCIÓN EXTRA ESPECIAL®, OPCIÓN EXTRA™, DIRECTV Limited, PLUS DIRECTV, TOTAL CHOICE MOBILE, SELECT CHOICE®, and TOTAL CHOICE LIMITED will increase an additional $3/mo. OPCIÓN PREMIER® will increase an additional $5/mo.
Distant Network Service (DNS) prices will increase to $2.50/mo. if subscribing to a single feed; to $3.50/mo. if subscribing to both the LA and NY DNS feeds; to
$14.00/mo. for the 4 Network Package DNS dual feed. PBS national feed price will increase to $2.50/mo.
Other services: Premium services (HBO®, SHOWTIME UNLIMITED®, Cinemax®,SPORTS PACK, Starz® Super Pack) will increase an additional $1.00/mo. (If only one Premium service is subscribed to, the increase is $0.99.) Outdoor Channel (à la carte customers only) will increase to $3.50/mo. DIRECTV® DVR Service, HD Access, Mirroring/Lease fee all increase $0.01/mo. GAME LOUNGE™ monthly fee increases $0.04/mo.

Customers who currently subscribe to these packages may maintain them as long as their account is in good standing, as determined by DIRECTV in its sole discretion.
