Now that was utter filler only partially saved by a 1 minute conversation between Oliver and Tess.

Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
What a stinker! I thought we were done with these shitty Lana/Clark on again, off again endings.
Kill Lana already! |
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
Thankfully I took a nap this afternoon, otherwise I would have asleep 15 minutes in.
|
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
It wasn't that bad.
Was one of those bad cops from Galactica? |
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
Decent chick fight.
Too bad Tess didn't ram a curtain rod through Lana's head though. That would have made it the best episode of all time. |
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
Cool they had Dan Turpin on. Turpin had a decent role in STAS. Remember, he got killed by Darkseid's eye beams.
|
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
That was bad. It was most definitely filler.
|
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
I lost interest about 10 minutes in.

Kill Lana already! The show wasnt bad, obviously filler, but I thought the Lana boat had finally sailed. Guess not  |
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
Is it just me or the moment just before the end credits appeared, did Lana have a "umm, I didn't feel anything" look on her face after the kiss?
Crappy episode, really. The only thing I liked was seeing Dan "Terrible" Turpin. I was surprised Lana beat Tess, though. |

I actually enjoyed the episode, as the baddies were average joes messing around with folks who are out of their league. Clark undercover as a cop, nice. Wasn't one of the cops Sarah Conner's ex? (From the TV series?)
Can't wait for the Doomsday plot line to kick back in... |
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
At least the cops were nice to look at.
|
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
Definitely filler, as others have said. Only thing I liked was the Superman: The Movie homage with the bullet hand catch.

chick fight was awesome, episode was entertaining so it's an acceptable filler.

I was actually hoping Clark would smirk sorta at the camera after he opened his hand. :D |

While this was mostly a filler episode, the Tess/Lex thing will most likel be important to the plot later on.

Was this episode, filler?

OK, I just read thru some spoilers about Lana:
Spoiler:

Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
I wish Lana would just go into a coma and stay there since they aren't willing to kill her off.
|
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
I wouldn't call this episode a total stinker. There were some good moments, especially the chick fight between Tess and Lana. But, I agree it was filler.
Even though I still like Lana, I am disappointed that they teased us with a possible Lois and Clark connection and then BOOM! Lana shows up and it comes to a screeching halt. I was actually warming up to the chemistry that Durance and Welling were developing. I know probably most of you don't watch it, but the blonde cop is actually a series regular on Flashpoint on CBS. |
Re: Smallville -- "Bulletproof" -- 01/22/09
I didn't think it was that bad. I enjoyed the Turpin reference, so that was nice.
Also, I found it interesting how Clark actually found himself in the ______ (Ollie, Pa Kent, Lana, etc.) role where he was actually the one having to tell Dan (aka Clark) about the greater good and what difference one person can make. Me thinks the man is learning. Then again we get that ending. I was fully expecting Lana to show up, but I assume she'll come into it again soon enough. |
