Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Season 7 opens with Jack Bauer on trial in Washington, D.C., and the return of Tony Almeida, who is involved in a national-security breach. New president Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) must deal with the threat without CTU, which has been disbanded. Janis Gold: Janeane Garofalo.

Jack is back!! Cannot wait until tomorrow night. I actually watched the 1st 17 minutes on the 24: Redemption DVD and I thought it was a great start.

Oh shit I was already asking myself we should go ahead and start this thread. I think most of us have an unhealthy obsession with Jack Bauer that we can't wait for tomorrow

Hopefully we get less than an hour of Senate hearings and 3 hours of kick ass action over the next two nights!

I'm guessing that you didn't watch the special feature of the first 16 mins of "8:00 AM-9:00 AM" on the Redemption DVD...

Spoiler:
... IRC, there are less than 5-7 mins of Senate Hearings.

Unfortunately, I have a conflict tomorrow night and I don't have a DVR, so I'll have to tape it, or watch it Monday. :(

I didn't because I watched Redemption on TV, not on DVD. Good news, though.

Since I had Seasons 1-6 on DVD I figured, why not have the movie too. ;)

This will be my first time watching 24 week to week. I was one of those who came late to the party and watch Season 1-4 in Dec '07-Jan '08 (on Winter Break) and Seasons 5-6 in June '08 (after the semester let out).

I'm not sure I can handle the patience of waiting and remembering characters and plots from week to week.

Hopefully, I'll be okay.

:D

Bring it on!

We're in the same boat. I've never watched it week-to-week. I started watching Season 1 on DVD a little while before Season 6 began airing on TV.

Actually, I think it's brilliant counter-programming.

I haven't watched it on TV since year 4. Gregory Itzin and Jean Smart as the president/first lady was just some of the worst television I've seen since I can remember. Completely destroyed any hope I had for season six.

Gonna give this a shot... hope it doesn't disappoint.

Not really....
I'm big fan of 24 even tho last season really wasn't great....
But I'm watching Golden Globes live & checking out 24 on the DVR....
I'm a huge movie fan so I like watching the Academy,SAG,Golden Globes, & etc.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- Season 7 Premiere -- "8:00am-10:00am" -- 1/11/09

I'm going to predict the season premiere will get between 12-15M viewers and will stabilize between 10-12 during the course of the season.

Regarding the Globes: Hopefully Kiefer doesn't attend since 24 isn't up for anything.

The good thing about this season is they wrapped production last month. We're going to get 24 episodes non-stop with no interruptions (SAG strike or No strike).

Even though it's been a painful wait, I'm actually kind of glad it's been off the air so long.

Wrong.....

Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television:
Kiefer Sutherland for 24: Redemption (2008) (TV)

Oops my bad....Forgot about the movie being up for something. So I guess he's attending. That would be weird if he wins since this damn award show is on a rival network.

Here's another promo graphic for the new season. I actually like this one better than the one from my 1st post.

Really? You thought Jean Smart and Greg Itzin were bad? I thought their performances in season 5 were Emmy worthy.

You must have had some pre-conceived hate for Itzin when he was introduced late in season 4.

FINALLY.

Add me to the list of people who has never caught it week to week. I actually think I'm going to hate that aspect. I loved ripping through the DVD's.

Nope. I don't think he's that bad. But the character, well both of 'em, were so god-awful. It also featured one of the worst heel turns for a character ever.
