Really hope next week isn't the series finale, but if it is, it seems it will go out on a great note.
I'm glad they had state tonight and got that over with, so they can focus on more non-football stuff next week.
The Landry and Tyra stuff still doesn't do much for me, but everything else tonight was fantastic.
Riggins is calling it quits, probably to stay home and work with his brother?
Glad they lost...made the rest of the stuff much stronger and more emotional.

That is how I expected the 1st season (football-wise) to end, not this one.
If they have a 4th season, I wonder if dad and J.D. will be at the other Dillon HS.
Question: do high schools use the same width goalposts as college and pros now?

Bittersweet, but a much more effective ending to their season. Glad Matt got a chance to shine one last time. One more episode to go, and I'm not ready for this show to go.

Another excellent episode. Tt was great to see Matt get one last chance at QB 1 and shine. Grandma's going to be really upset once he moves to Chicago.
I enjoyed Coach's speech at the end, even though it was somewhat cliched.
The morning piss scene with Billy and Lyla was pretty damn funny.
Lyla's college essay was quite poignant. Even though I hated how she has been yanking Landry's chain for the past 3 years on and off, it was kind of nice to see them re-connect this season.
Can't wait for the season finale.

The JD stuff in this episode was stupid
To the father - If you don't want to get reported to child services, don't beat up your son
To the mother - if you don't want to get reported to child services, stand up to your husband and don't let him beat up your son
To JD - man the fuck up and stand up to your dad
Sheesh ! this part of the show was ridiculous
Matt's gran needs to just die
The game drama was good, rest of this ep was garbage

Isn't JD just a freshman? He's been rode hard by his old man his whole life. Stop looking at the situation like you're years out of high school.

Bump
This episode airs tonight.
This was a solid episode. 1 more episode left after tonight for you NBC viewers. At least all of us have 2 more seasons to look forward to.
I've purchased both season 1 and 2 on DVD and I'm looking forward to re-visiting this on DVD later this year when it does get released......If anything it will help support the show and all the people who worked so hard to keep it on the air.

Yeah, I bought season 2 on sale at Wal-Mart and ended up taking it back knowing I would never get around to rewatching it. I may pick it up later this year when season 3 is out.

One thing that didn't make any sense to me last night was JD and his mom were so ready to leave his dad then all of a sudden have such a change of heart to stay in the same house with the him. But I guess that since they live in such a nice house, kind of hard to turn their back on that life. Everything else was great I even enjoyed Tyra and reading her improved college essay.
