Synopsis:

Spoiler:

A troubled teen collapses during her high-school Christmas program; Foreman and Thirteen learn more about each other as they work together on the Huntington's disease drug trial; House gives and receives holiday gifts, leading to team speculation; and Cuddy receives a gift as well. Janice: Lori Petty.

I believe this is the last new episode of 2008. House will return Monday January 19th.

Is Lisa E. wearing a wig now? I saw her haircut in and interview and it looked terrible. Her hair looked a lot bigger then normal tonight.

pridesticks06 12-10-08 12:56 AM

Her hair was atrocious. Other than that this episode was pretty good. Loved House being kind and I always enjoy clinic duty.

Patman 12-10-08 01:05 AM

You go, Foreman!

Charlie Goose 12-10-08 08:05 AM

That's a cool picture, I wish I could see what their shirts say. I think House's says "Hope is for sissies"

The episode was a little too deus ex machina for me. We see all the time in the news about abandoned babies being found dead, but I have never heard about one that just happened to be found and taken care of by a squatter. AND neither family wants anything to do with it, so of course the woman who just lost out on an adoption is getting it, yay! The teen's parents just watched their daughter die, I would think they'd do anything to keep the only grandchild they'll ever have.

I agree... I could see a single father giving up the kid, but the mom looked young enough that she would take that kid in.

I don't like the idea that Cuddy is getting the kid :( Hope it doesn't take away from the show.

Patman 12-10-08 08:18 AM

They don't call it a Christmas miracle for nuthin'!

Snowmaker 12-10-08 09:06 AM

Sherilyn Fenn has gotten old. If it wasn't for the eyebrow mole, I would not have even recognized her.

And what else was the one blond girl student from? She looked so familiar. EDIT: Found her. Meaghan Jette Martin. Having a young daughter, I must have seen her on something on the Disney Channel.

Loved when the gal asked House if she could get pregnant sitting on a toilet seat. And he told her that yes, provided there was a boy sitting between her and the seat.

I wish they would do more clinic duty.

Palaver 12-10-08 10:42 AM

I loved the look House gave the inhaler lady. Priceless

I would think that it might be the opposite effect. They just watched their only child die, and having the grandchild around would be a constant reminder of that.

They simply may not want to think of the death every time they look at their grandchild.

Exactly.

I thought the episode was pretty good. Great clinic scenes.

"The headaches should go away before your third trimester."
"Oh, I'm not in school."

But see.. if they did that.. then there wouldn't be that future episode where Cuddy gets all cozy with her new baby and just as the adoption is about to become legal.. dead girl's parents realize that they made a horrible mistake giving up their granddaughter and now that their daughter is dead, this baby is the only thing they have left of her and they spoke too soon and now they want their granddaughter.
Cuddy, of course will be DEVASTATED and will turn to House once again.

I didn't get that part. What was it and what did House "win"?

Wilson told House to be nice to people, so he can get presents from them.

So House started acting 'nice' to the clinic people, and miracle baby woman sent him a present.

Then he tossed the present to wilson saying I win.

Man, aside from Wilson and clinic duty, this episode sucked toilet seat.

Maybe it's just that I can't stand Cuddy, Thirteen, and Foreman and they've been receiving way too much focus lately.

Maybe I enjoyed Wilson in this episode because for once he wasn't being an annoying relationship counselor for House and Cuddy.

I REALLY wish they had shown what he said to inhaler lady that had her calling him a jerk.

One of the funniest House lines ever, in my opinion, and there have been a lot of them.

Anyone get the line about Irene Adler?
That one had me going for awhile.

Anubis2005X 12-11-08 06:32 AM

Thirteen and Foreman...really?
