Boston Legal -- "Thanksgiving" -- 11/24/08

Photobucket

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Shirley's quiet Thanksgiving with Carl becomes considerably louder when she opens her door to other members of the firm, including Alan, Denny, Jerry, Katie and emotionally unstable partner Edwin Poole (Larry Miller), who brings his 6-year-old foster son.

The premise of tonight's episode reminds me of some of the better ones DEK wrote for Picket Fences.

I remember seeing the teaser at the end of last weeks episode and thinking that this was going to be great. Can't wait to see Larry Miller back again.

He did the same kind of episode for Boston Public too.

I'd say that there is a 99.9% chance that Denny fires a handgun this episode.

Wow...with the lack of interest in this thread I guess I can see why (apparently) it's been cancelled.

Such a shame...

I thought the episode was great, it is a shame that this is the last season.

Apparently, DEK is a hoot at Thanksgiving dinners. That he is.

LOL! Who knew that Melvin Palmer would turn out to be such a great reacurring character. I actually enjoy him and find he fits in really well with the others. Go figures. The show is being cancelled and after all these years of character changes, I think DEK finally found the right balance with the current cast in the show's final season. I'm really going to miss this show. I wish they would do a Spin-off with Alan, Denny and heck even Melvin Palmer.

But at least we are getting some type of closure with the firm going bankrupt and with Denny.

Anyone know what's up next for DEK?

His production company moved to Warner Brothers. I think he signed a 3-year deal to develop new projects with them. I believe he has a pilot in development, but whether it gets picked up is another story.
