Nice touch with the Rammstein track, which translates to "You hate me".

Doug Ellin's goal is to take the show through 8 seasons. Obviously his wishes might not be granted, but hopefully they will be.

The director's irrationality was a bit over the top.

It was a fun episode, but would a major studio really shut down a hundred million dollar flick after a week of production when they've already sunk all that money into it? I've heard of movies being canceled BEFORE going into production(thank God that the Justice League project was one of them), but what's the last one that was killed after they started filming?

Also if I can nitpick, James Cameron is Canadian, Ari.

And I guess Ed Norton WAS in fact cast in Smokejumpers since the director referred to him several times. But it seemed like Jason Patric was playing his role a few episodes back.

And one more thing. Why is Drama going back to Queens with the rest of the group? Doesn't he have a hit TV show he should be back in L.A. working on?

Like I said, a fun episode but way too many moments that left me scratching my head.

From Wikipedia:

The title is commonly interpreted as "You Hate", but can be considered as a play on words: "Du hast" means 'you have', while the homophonous "du hasst" means 'you hate'. The pun is illustrated by a comparison of the German version, a literal English translation, and the band's non-literal English version of the song.

The wedding vow is sung word-by-word many times, each line with subtle ironic meanings:

* Du: You
* Du hast: You have
* Du hast mich: You have me
* Du hast mich gefragt: You have asked me
* Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt: You have asked me and I have said nothing.

So, I was right AND wrong?

That's another reason why the show doesn't add up this year. A studio would likely not shut down an entire production just because the director can't get along with an actor who isn't even the lead. I did like Stellan Skaarsgard's craziness though, like when he went nose to nose with a terrified receptionist.

Turtle doing his own thing this episode made me realize how little I care about him unless he's paired up with Drama for laughs.

I agree - Vince is not the lead and will not be a big draw for the movie, but I think the director had no regard for budget...

We see the PA telling him they have to break for lunch or they will get penalized, in addition, we see him doing 50 takes for one little line - so I think the writing was on the wall that this director would run up millions of dollars in cost over runs if he was allowed to stay on the project.

So I guess they decided it was better to cut bait. If they ever picked up the project at a later date they could see if any footage could be salvaged.

If Patric were the lead, I doubt he'd be stealing Vince's lines.
