The beginning with Meredith, Andy calling Angela ("Is someone there?), and Michael on the phone at the end were the best parts.
I thought Pam was lying about failing because what she said made no sense (she is good at Flash, but they switched from Quark to Acrobat), but then she cried, so I don't know.

Yeah, it seemed like she was fishing for Jim to beg her to come back and that he couldn't do 12 more weeks of separation.
Then she showed up at the end, so I'm not sure what to believe. Right now I'm leaning towards her actually having failed and she gave up to come back. That and there was no reason to think she passed. It wasn't like they showed us her transcript.

Kinda sad that Pam didn't see it thru. Maybe it reinforces what Roy thought, that she isn't very driven, has not unique ability, and will be stuck in a receptionist-level job forever.

I loved Dwight talking about Pam's painting being unrealistic because of the shadows and no parking lines. That was hilarious.
I understand where people are coming from with Andy switching teams, but I think he is just socially inept which is why he doesn't realize that Angela is crazier than crazy. Hopefully he can get out of that situation. If you think about it, Angela is pretty damn evil.

I don't think Andy is switching teams. He was just drunk and he is just a naturally emotional and slightly effeminate person who doesn't hide his feelings.

Yeah, I totally agree with that. Angela is a really rotten person, all things considered. I'm surprised that hasn't really been noted much in any of these weekly Office threads.
Overall, I thought it was just a bit of a 'meh' episode. I tend to like the quieter, more character oriented episodes, but somehow this one was off a little. I hate to echo the common refrain, but maybe it was because so much of it was outside of the normal office setting (even though I normally don't object to that as much as some folks).
As for Ryan, I can see him finding some way to bail out now that he's 'reunited' with Kelly (who he clearly does not want to be with).

Pam cried because Jim's completely non-selfish 'this is about you'-speech was so awesome!

I actually loved this episode. Andy's drunk call was hilarious, as was the wingman attempt for Oscar. Ryan acting all smug as usual, the push ups were pretty funny. Michael telling off Wallace was great, he owed it to him after the whole Jan lawsuit thing.
My fav part was the beginning when everyone is smiling at Jim about 1 more week, and Creed starts rubbing his shoulders and Kevin smacks his ass, and Stanley just makes a moaning sound haha. And the Pam and Jim ending made me so happy, I was bummed when I heard the 12 more weeks first come out.

I thought it paid off well with him telling Wallace off. Especially, with this trip being a sort of bribe to take his mind off of the relocation of Holly onyl to feel lonely, then guilt and remorse.

I thought it was hilarious when Dwight showed up out of nowhere and obliviously interrupted Jim and Pam's sweet moment together to tell Pam to run some copies.

Totally agree. This season has found the perfect mix of its sweet side and its pitch-black side. Season 3 was a lot of the former, last season was the latter (and it made Michael into a cartoon at times), but this is perfect. It could beat the last season of 30 Rock; it's certainly better than this one.
