What a surprise. Save for Tina Fey, a typical and truly awful show. I have no idea why Ben Affleck is hosting. He has nothing to whore. And yes, I heard people boo'ing McCain. Last, David Cook sucked. Big time.

The SNL live predential Bash on Monday I bet Obama makes a cameo. He's smarter than McCain cause its primetime not 11:30 at night on Halloween weekend.

Me too. I really enjoy Olberman's show, but that sketch was A+ hilarious and Afleck's impression spot-on.

Please no more Target Lady.

Affleck was bordering on becoming Horatio Sanz and he could not control his laughs during sketches.

Amy Poehlers name was still mentioned in the opening credits so that is a good sign hopefully.

+1
Best laugh I've had in a while. I really lost it when he kept changing cameras.

As good as the Olbermann skit was I couldn't help but feel disappointed that they didn't include his signature sign off: "On this the XXXX day since the declaration of 'mission accomplished' in Iraq.

I'm surprised to be in the minority on this one, but I thought the episode was beyond awful. The Olbermann skit might have been funny in a shorter dose but just like the standard SNL death kneel, they made it waaaay too long at a whopping eight minutes.

Kristin Wiig continues to be the worst thing on the show for me; every one of her characters is exaggerated to the point of being excruciatingly annoying.

Surprisingly enough, Kennan's sketch was the one bright spot. It helped that they didn't try to drag it out. And giraffes was a fun quick thing too.

I thought the High School Musical take off was a good concept but they managed to make it totally lame by typically over-producing it and over-extending it.

I probably would have done the same, if I had been there. Booed the man upon his entrance, due to his politics and negative campaigning. Applauded his weekend update performance because he was funny and performed well.

I see it as being no different than any other actor. I may like their work, whether or not I agree with their politics or lifestyle.

We won't turn this into a political thread, but your position based on your perceptions seems reasonable to me.

I like Wiig a lot. Her Target Lady is one of the worst recurring characters, but this outing was a nice change of pace with her being a little skeeved out by Affleck's advances.

I thought Kenan's sketch was absolutely terrible. He's very hit or miss for me, mostly miss. His last few one-man commercial sketches have been pretty good. I liked Tookie Styles, the late night host whose shows ended in gunfire, and Googie Renee's slightly used wedding dresses. This, however, was embarassing nonsense kids perform in dorm rooms and post on YouTube.

McCain himself heard the boos and pointed in that direction in the audience at the outset.

Once again, I think he put in a rather solid performance for both of his appearances. I wonder if he's a better sport than most politicians as he seems to get better material. Maybe he doesn't nix as many ideas? Huckabee on WU last season was pretty good too.
