I'd rather Seth McFarlane get canceled. People in forty years will still find KotH funny, but there isn't one McFarlane show that won't leave people wondering, "What was Knight Rider, and why is mentioning it funny?"

Love this show. It has lost a bit during it's last few seasons, but i'll take it over most of the stuff that's on right now.
Cotton rampaging through Japan and the Bobby groin kicking episodes were always my favorites.

Same here. Not to thread crap because I remember liking the show years ago and even checking out a syndicated episode every once in a while but I had no idea they were still making new shows.

There were episodes that were less then stellar but as a whole it was a good show and it is sad. American Dad, and family guy have funny moments but if they left the air I wouldn't be sad about wheras KOH gone is bad

I tell you what man, that dang ol King of the Hill show, man, talk about propane, propane, propane, man. Reel cool man.
My favorites were Dang ol Love, and the one where the guys became volunteer firemen.

Although there were some not so great ones, the only one that left a sour taste in my mouth was "Death Picks Cotton". His actual demise was fine but everything that lead to it was pretty poor. It's as if they forgot how to write Cotton.

I'm still VERY disappointed by this. I wonder if they'll release a complete series set? Probably not. Guess I'll have to settle for an incomplete series in my collection.
Hope the finale is good.

A very sad day in my household... granted like most said, it has lost a little over the years (although Id have loved for them to pick up with Luanne having her baby) but it was still a great show, and very hilarious at times... Some of my standout episodes were the one where Bobby became a model for husky clothing, The one where Bill dated former Texas governor Ann Richards, the episode where Bobbys love of Deli food leads to a case of gout... almost forgot, the episode where Peggy inadvertanly picks up a gorl on a field trip in Mexico and gets arrested, her real lack of spanish language knowledge gets her freed, although when the judge tells her she is not guilt.y, the screen fades to credits and you hear her screaming how she cant believe she is going to jail... PRICELESS... Hope I can find torrents of all the missing seasons

I love, love, love classic King of the Hill. But let's be real, it's been cannibalizing itself and treading unfunny water for five years, since Greg Daniels left to do The Office.
When they did such a bad job of killing Cotton last year, I was extremely annoyed. Lucky as a major character was also a bad decision. Shows should end before they stop being good, and by that measure, Hank should have signed off about five years ago.
My favorite episode, by the way, is "Pretty Pretty Dresses." It has the best cold open in the history of television. The guys are standing in the alley drinking, and then Bill starts weeping, and the rest of them do not react. Bill stands there bawling just long enough for it to start to be uncomfortable, and then the Christmas music starts up.
Later in the episode, they decide to put Bill on suicide watch, and he tries to kill himself by jumping off his one-story roof, slamming his head in the drawer of his nightstand, and putting his head in his electric oven.

And they should have kept Futurama AND this years ago. There was no reason to cancel Futurama when they did other than the fact that the ratings were probably dipping because of football preempts.

Who is actually really surprised by this? The show has been on 13 seasons!!! It's run it's course. Plus Greg Daniels and Mike Judge left the show long ago.
If you really need a King of the Hill fix, rent or buy the DVD's or watch FX.

Any chance Mike Judge will give us a new Beavis and Butthead movie now?
