Entourage - "First Class Jerk" - 10/26/08

"First Class Jerk"
Spoiler:
After scoring a first class seat next to Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Turtle has a mile-high claim the guys just don't buy. While Ari is distracted, Josh Weinstein courts Vince.

Spoilered about the guest star.
Spoiler:
According to the gossip blogs Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Meadow Soprano) and Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) are a real-life couple now. I would never have expected that.

"Has so much cum been squirted in your eyes that you can't see right in front of you? If Amanda Daniels takes that job Vince is fucked, I'm fucked, we're all fucked. And we're fucked in the way you like to get fucked, not fucked in the way normal people like to get fucked."

Good episode, but I wish they would have explored Ari working for the studio.

Everything just seems to work out too well every time a problem arises. It was obvious Ari wasn't going to take the position from the beginning. It was, yet again, merely a good episode. So far this season is lacking alot of the quality that we got from seasons 1-3. :/

I'm happy with the route they took with Ari. The show wouldn't have felt the same with him as a studio head (although I wouldn't mind if they explored it a little more). This was worked well because they didn't make it seem like the only reason he didn't take the job was because of Vince.

I also liked the way they handed the job to Dana Gordon. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of her on the show. I always crack up when Ari calls her out for banging her.

I really enjoyed how Ari ripped into Amanda and made sure she didn't get the job. I love me my Carla Gugino but her character is a really bitch so good to see her get screwed on this.

Jaime Lynn Sigler
Jaime Lynn Sigler and Jerry Ferrara

as for next week...
Spoiler:
It looks like we'll see Vince on the set of Smoke Jumpers. Which is taking a different path from the usual Entourage plan of the season being him looking for a job and the break being him filming with them returning with the movie aleady made. I wonder if Ed Norton will make a cameo.

I liked the happy ending and was waiting for the usual twist in the last 30 seconds to ruin it. Glad that didn't come.

Kudos to JLS for allowing herself to be shown as a drunken slut.

While I still enjoy "Entourage," I was hopeful that Ari'd take the job, as this show really needs a shake-up. Back to the same old-same old...

It was funny to see them all dismissing television roles, considering what they all do for a living.

Ari is an idiot for not taking the studio job, that's some serious coin. No way his company would make anywhere near that much money

But i guess the pressure of being a studio head is pretty high

why is it so surprising that Ferrara is going out with JLS? it isn't like he is Turtle in real life and even Turtle is a lovable schlub.

That, and he wouldn't be able to be "Ari". His wife is already an heiress, so money's not that big a motivator for him - it's more about the score and the wheeling and dealing.

but, he is also highly competitive and still wants to make more than his competition. that is what Ari is all about too.

Pretty stupid to have Ari turn down the job. The show is lacking good ideas and this could've opened up a few more storylines and different angles. At the very least it could've been a half-season thing where Ari decides to go back to being an agent.

Also, I know Ari has other clients... but they really make it seem like Vince is his only client and responsible for 90% of his income. Friend or not, his whole personal and professional life revolves around Vince. I wouldn't put up with this crap if I were one of Ari's clients.

Someone get Vince laser hair-removal and a personal trainer.

Good episode. They executed it in probably the only plausible way they could have allowed Ari to turn down the job, by introducing other factors such as being his own boss and being able to act the way he wants to act.

Thank you for saying it! I always wonder why she doesn't get any love. And her naughty talk this episode kind of did it for me.

Dana is hot.

While I thought that it would be stupid for him to turn it down, this episode was a good sell for not taking the job. I thought the episode had some great laughs from Drama as well. I enjoyed it more than probably any other episode this season. A good save from last week. I especially liked Turtle bringing up all the points brought up here last week.

You can be in Smoke Jumpers. We'll be set for life.

That night at the Red Roof Inn really worked out well for Dana.
