I thought that the only reason Jan and Michael had to sign those corp forms about their relationship was because one was reporting directly to the other one (although I know that Jim tried to give Toby similar papers when he and Pam started dating). As HR apparently doesn't even fall under Michael's authority (much to his chagrin when Toby was around), I wonder how big of a deal it is.

It is very possible that the Michael/Jan fiasco that got them sued caused them to change their policy and that nothing is allowed now.

Basically it would cause a problem if someone had a problem with Michael since Holly is the HR rep and complaints would go through her.

As opposed to the boxes of complaints from Dwight that Toby stacked up in the warehouse somewhere?

If Michael hasn't been fired by this point, especially with the complaints from the departing second-office workers, he's not going to be. But I can see them using the logic above to transfer Holly somewhere else.

If it leads to Holly leaving the show I will completely stop watching the Office.

Well, at least until the next episode airs.

It was the end of the line that cracked me up: "... and my personal favorite: Short People"

Kevin was great ... we haven't seen enough of him in the past few episodes. I always enjoyed his Talking Head bits.

At my office I don't believe our HR personnel are allowed to be involved with anyone else at the company. I think there's just too many possible issues since the HR person has access to sensitive info about everyone in the company.

My personal theory is that Holly will be gone (due to the five episode contract rumor) and won't appear again until the finale, where she'll show up, pregnant.

(This time with Michael's real child)
