Heroes -- "Dying Of the Light" -- 10.20.2008

"Dying Of the Light"

Hiro and the others seize upon offers to join rival company Pinehearst Industries, and Peter is changed by a meeting with its founder; Clair and Sandra team up to save Meredith from Doyle.

pinata242 10-20-08 08:19 AM

The bad guy Claire's biological mother ended up with looks promising. Hopefully he survives tonight.

Goldberg74 10-20-08 09:04 AM

Can't wait. :D

Raul3 10-20-08 04:03 PM

Can wait.

Gizmo 10-20-08 04:44 PM

Huzzah!

pridesticks06 10-20-08 05:55 PM

Better be good.:D

DarkestPhoenix 10-20-08 06:59 PM

I'm done with this show!

Just kidding, I'll be there. I don't mind this season. So far, the biggest disappointment has been the fact that when Pete went into the future, Suresh was still alive. :(

DarkestPhoenix 10-20-08 07:04 PM

Oh, and OP? A description of the episode/synopsis would be nice...don't know why it isn't mandatory:

He has it, just under hidden white text for some reason. Not sure why since the spoiler button exists. I've pointed it out before :p

DarkestPhoenix 10-20-08 07:20 PM

Nice catch...agreed w/ spoiler.

Goldberg74 10-20-08 08:13 PM

yeah, interesting story with adam.

Spoiler:
wonder if he is actually dead since he has been alive for 400 yrs. you figure someone would have tried this to him before, wouldn't you?

I'd wager to guess...

Spoiler:
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

God rest Adam's immortal soul.

Spoiler:
I'm assuming Petrelli somehow took his power (Peter/Sylar can do it) and Adam instantly aged and died.

Goldberg74 10-20-08 08:29 PM

"Hello? Mr. African-Isaac?" rotfl

SuperBatMan 10-20-08 08:53 PM

I've watched this show from the beginning, and never once proclaimed to give up on the show, but I seriously think they've jumped the shark. Their great idea of turning Sylar good just because everyone loved him is the dumbest idea ever. Everyone loved him because he was a bad ass villian, not a whiny ass emo boy worried about his 'mom' he didn't even know about 5 episodes ago.

I liked this much better than last week.

Spoiler:
At least Peter can get whipped back into reality now that he no longer has his powers and the "hunger"

PopcornTreeCt 10-20-08 09:21 PM

Yeah, this episode was better than the last 2. Just when I try to get out they pull me back in. I'm happy, it actually looks like there's a plot now.

Season Finale: Round 1! Sylar vs. His Daddy! Fight!

Goldberg74 10-20-08 09:24 PM

I forget... how did Sylar lose his powers the first time around?

Was that ever explained?

pridesticks06 10-20-08 09:58 PM

This episode wasn't bad. I liked it better than the previous ones. It was nice to see Hiro not be a complete moron and actually think. Hopefully Peter can make some realizations now, though I wonder if he can get his powers back and his main ability. Suresh really needs to die - Adam Monroe style. I hope Adam is finally gone, I really don't see how they could pull him back. But I wouldn't put it past them to try.

I think Arthur's ability is something along the lines of the ability to take other people's abilities when touching them. Unless I'm wrong, every time he has done this he has had to touch them, unlike Peter. And they lose their power when he takes them. Really sucks for Adam and Peter!

And lastly, why on earth does Claire think that little taser will get the job done? I mean seriously, that'd be like giving the army in Iraq water guns. Just stupid all around imo.

Snowmaker 10-20-08 10:31 PM

How did ma Pitrelli get put in a coma? I forget.

Probably by Matt's father.

This episode is so much better than all the season 3 episodes so far. Interesting power from Pa Petrelli.

Just watched last week and this weeks back to back. I have to say three weeks ago (when they introduced Daddy Sylar) was a step in the right direction, and these two were excellent. Sad to see Adam go when there are so many others that should go first. I hope we haven't seen the last of Vortex Man, he seemed like a cool character, and a great way to weed out some of the cast.

Loved the "Mr. African Isaac" line as well as Parkman's "High five turtle" line when he asked him for a sign.

I'm sure they will show in a flashback that Hiro stops time and puts a blood bag or something in Ando's shirt, who is playing along with his "death".

To the few of you who still seem to be liking it, good for you, but damn this show has become a mess!

Since I just watched last weeks and just read the thread, Wolf gets credit for calling that one first. Props.

Also from the last thread, for shits and giggles:

Lastly any gamers out there that are seeing Faith in Daphne?
