So are we on time today?

lisadoris 10-12-08 05:54 PM

I'm not taking any chances: I've padded the recording by one hour.

No. 60 Minutes began at 7:17 EDT, so plan on a 0:17 overrun on all CBS times tonight.

Depends on where you are. In NC we only had a 1pm game on CBS, so prime time was on time. My buddy in FL had a 4pm game that ran late, he was pushed back.

Pretty good ep. Or at least the plutonium part was pretty good; could have done without the sex trade part. And for once, the wives' story with the obnoxious kid at school was actually ok. No FFing through the woman parts (did I really say that?) tonight.

I thought the sex trade sub-plot was a big part of what made the episode work by showing the lengths Jonas has to go through in order to accomplish the mission, to the point of inadvertently sacrificing a few innocents. It brings him back to humanity when, right after shooting the little rat dude, he's caring about the women.

The wives side is turning out to be more interesting now. Still a tad too much whining from what's-her-face, but the mystery stuff is good. Also, the kid getting busted for a planted gun was a bit harsh!

I liked it.

I thought at one point that the leader guy (forgot his name) that Jonas was looking for would turn out to be the guy with the radiation sickness that was with Tom.

How did Lizzie get the gun to school to plant on the guy? Shouldn't a metal dector have gone off on her?

I thought that happened outside the fence.

Drat--Had the last 20 min. cut off. It's so good in HD, but at least I can catch the rest online.

For a second, I expected the dad with the newborn to be coming out of the car as the guy in charge of selling the plutonium.

I like how there's a storyline through the entire season without there being big twists or making it too serialized.

I was busy doing something while watching this, what did Bob's wife see at the home where she is now a nanny?

A brochure for the same (non-existent) company that Mrs. Blaine is working for.

Deftones 10-14-08 09:24 PM

i'm pretty sure the whole nanny angle is that bob's wife is supposed to be an inside "spy" on that guy because he's up to no good.
