It's amazing how much Heroes has fallen.
It used to be a top 10 show, now it's barely getting 7M viewers and is ranked 46th.

Been a pleasure, though I won't be able to post it this week since I'll be up in Monterey, CA for Christmas and away from the LA Times. Not much going on anyways for the next couple of weeks.

Does anybody have any insight into how Friday Night Lights fared during it's DTV time? I imagine DTV would care about this more than NBC. I suspect NBC would be focused more on the Feb-May numbers in 2009.

I recall reading a blurb a couple months ago that one of Friday Night Light's episodes finished 7th in the timeslot. But, I haven't seen any specific numbers on the season overall.

Thanks for posting, Chris! I wonder why Desperate Housewives lost nearly 3 million viewers since returning from the break? Is it normal for a show to have fewer viewers after returning from a break?

I think it's been happening the last couple of years for a couple of shows. People find other things to watch during the break and never come back to these shows (that they were probably getting tired of anyways).

I can only think of 2 shows where ratings went up after some time, and that was The Office and 30 Rock.

A special request to get the ratings for Wednesday, if possible, when they come out. I want to see how LOST did.
Or point me to the site that has the info. I know someone has posted it here before, but I never bookmarked it.

"American Idol" earned a 14.3/22 and drew 25.4 million viewers at 8 p.m., a significant jump over the 22.4 million who tuned in Tuesday. ABC took second for the hour with the clip show "Lost: Destiny Calls," 5.3/8. "The New Adventures of Old Christine," 4.8/7, and "Gary Unmarried," 4.5/7, put CBS in third, ahead of "Knight Rider" on NBC. The CW only managed a 0.9/1 with "13: Fear Is Real."
"Criminal Minds," 8.7/13, moved CBS to the lead at 9 p.m. The premiere of "Lie to Me" on FOX came in second with a 7.7/12 and won the hour in adults 18-49, narrowly beating "Lost" (6.8/10) in the demographic. A "Law & Order: SVU" rerun on NBC posted a 3.8/6. The CW aired a "90210" rerun.
At 10 p.m., "CSI: NY" scored a 7.7/12 to keep CBS in front of ABC and "Lost," which fell a little to 6.4/10 in its second hour. "Law & Order" delivered a 5.8/9 for NBC.

Thanks guys. Averaged about 11 million. Down from the 16 million it averaged for the premiere last year, but up from the season finale last year.
Considering how awesome those episodes were last night, I wouldn't be surprised if it started to gain steam through the season. Of course by me saying that, the exact opposite will happen.

With the glut of programs that aired last night, It wouldn't surprise me that most Most Lost Nielsen fans chose to DVR it instead of watching it live.
However, I would not expect Lost to gain any new viewers at this point. I think it's probably going to stay in the 10M viewer range this season.
