Not near as good as her trying to cry while dancing w/ her boyfriend at her party.

I actually laughed out loud.

Synopsis for tonight's episode

Spoiler:

At Kelly's request, Brenda replaces Tabitha as director of the school musical, but the two friends soon find themselves at odds over Kelly's relationship with Ryan. At the Wilsons, money concerns prompt Dixon to get a job at the Peach Pit, but Annie is more worried about her disappointing date with Ethan. Yeah!! Brenda and Nat return!! Only 2 more episodes left with Brenda after tonight.

Gizmo 09-16-08 11:21 PM

Best episode yet...

Got some pretty big reveals....

JZ1276 09-17-08 12:43 AM

Yes, this was the only episode so far that had me interested. Great reveal at the end.

stingermck 09-17-08 07:21 AM

Finally a solid episode. Keep this up, and I may stick around

Red Dog 09-17-08 08:03 AM

I don't know if the chick playing Silver wears tinted contacts, but she has gorgeous eyes.

Also, who was playing the homewrecker - she looked familiar.

Timber 09-17-08 10:42 AM

Only 4 responses the day after? Either it's a highly DVR'd show around here or they're dropping like flies. I liked most of it. I don't think I'm ever going to enjoy any of Naomi's storyline and the play stuff fell a little flat. I like all of the Dixon/Silver stuff.

boogieman03 09-17-08 11:05 AM

I'm still watching it, but it wasn't very memorable except for the baby's daddy reveal at the end and Lucille Bluth.

:)

Gizmo 09-17-08 11:27 AM

I like Naomi a bit more than when I saw the pilot...but so far I only really like Silver and Dixon. I thought the parents were going to be in the show a bit more?

I usually don't get to watch it until a day or so after on the DVR - so there you go. But without seeing this weeks EP (don't worry folks, spoilers don't bother me), I'm far from giving up on this show yet.

Jadzia 09-17-08 01:20 PM

I'm surprised so many of the comments here have been so positive. I was pretty bored watching this ep, and I think I am close to dropping the show. Don't care about any of Naomi's plot, Annie's conflict was boring. the whole Dixon car thing was dull. This show just seems like a mess so far. The only thing that seems to be working for them is the interest in the older characters (and I never watched the original show) but they don't seem to know what they are doing given what I have read that Garth and Doherty are only signed for a certain amount of episodes. Just odd that they would start a show and not even have a long-term plan for the featured characters.

I did like "I asked him where he was when Kurt Cobain died and he said he was watching cartoons."

So far Garth's storyline is the only interesting thing.

I agree but I'll still tune in.

I agree but again am confused as to putting her in such a prominent role in the school community if they weren't going to keep the character as a permanent one.

Me too. Every time I read an article about this show, I am struck by how it seems like they just flung this on the air quickly and really gave no thought to actually developing the series. It ties in with how so many of the characters are boring and one-dimensional.

I think they should have taken an extra year to solidy the cast so they could at least plot out the direction of the first season.

Double_Oh_7 09-17-08 03:37 PM

They need to dump all the new characters and just make this "90210: The Adult Years" with the old cast.

That was basically the last 3 years of the original, which were a yawner.

B.A. 09-17-08 03:45 PM

the show would be much better if they would just dump the Naomi character. She makes Tori Spelling look like Meryl Streep.

Her scenes, particularly the one where she confronted the homewrecker, are comedy gold.

That may very well be. But the only thing about this new show that people seem to be interested in is the "where are they now" aspect to the old characters.

Nth Power 09-17-08 04:34 PM

They need to have some more lasting conflict for the characters. The storylines they have now are all somewhat entertaining, but they could stand to get ratcheted up a notch or two. Other than Naomi, things seem to be going pretty good for the rest of them.

The CW probably wouldn't be around next year if not for the "buzz" on this show...the network is in shambles right now and all depends on how well 90210 does.

Jadzia 09-17-08 05:00 PM

They should put out a new Melrose Place next year. That would be awesome.

Well then stick a fork in it. If this is its only life raft, it's about to sink.

agreed

raven56706 09-17-08 07:45 PM

the only thing bringing me back to this show would be if Nate takes brenda and says..."your parents never told you...... i am your father"

that would be awesome
