Mario Lopez named new solo host of Extra
Looks like Dayna Devon is getting demoted and Mark McGrath is leaving to go back to Sugar Ray.

Mario Lopez -- the Saved by the Bell alum who's enjoyed a career resurgence thanks to stints on Nip/Tuck and Dancing With the Stars -- will take over as host of the weekday syndicated show Extra beginning Sept. 15. Lopez had been serving as a correspondent and co-host for Extra's weekend edition since January 2007. Extra co-host Dayna Devon will become a special correspondent, and Mark McGrath will go back to making music with Sugar Ray, which is expected to release another album in early 2009. Extra begins its 15th season this fall.

I guess so. I only watched the show sporatically and it always seemed like the 3rd wheel amongst on those so-called entertainment news shows.
I did like Dayna Devon though, especially when she wore the short skirts with the long boots.

I gotta admit I liked him on Dancing With The Stars, but after seeing those shirtless pictures in People Mag and his Burt Reynolds Cosmo Centerfold copy, he is just creeping me out.

An amazing tool. And I don't mean in a good way.
Earlier this year, when he took a celebrity run in "A Chorus Line" on B'way, he wanted the "most impressive guns" onstage and forced the other guys to cover up their biceps.
