My Name Is Earl *Season Finale* -- "Camdenites" -- 5/16/2008

As much as I've been liking Earl lately, I've never been a fan of the hour-longs. Hopefully this one bucks the trend.

Spoiler:
In the third-season finale, substantial troubles jeopardize Earl's karma-driven relationship with Billie (Alyssa Milano), as Earl seeks romantic counsel from his friends. Earl, as a way to deal, devotes all his time to his list, further irking a neglected Billie in the process.

Good episode - Randy got him a lady again. Wonder how long this one will last?

Liked the episode a lot. Though, when they did that short montage near the end recapping what Earl had been through this past season, I couldn't help but think.. ugh, what a terrible arc. Anyhow, looks like things are completely back to normal, so here's hoping for some great episodes when the new season starts up.

Oh, and I'm gonna miss staring at Alyssa Milano weekly.

That makes two of us. I felt this was a lost season for the show. I only watched the season finale out of some sort of strange obligation as I've been mostly skimming through episodes lately. With that said, this was easily my favorite episode of the year.

My dream of Randy dying/leaving the show was unfulfilled again.

Good ending - I only say that because this year has been painful. I am so glad to see Alyssa Milano GONE!!

What a bad story line, she was never a likeable character (like Joy). The Coma, horrible dream tv show

Prison story line was not too bad - I still laugh at those 2 gang leaders making out on the floor

Easily the best ep since it returned from the strike, but I am still not sure if I am on board for next season.

I enjoyed the episode and I think the show is back to where it needs to be going into next season, so I'm happy. Also let add that Joy just keeps getting better and better. Creed on The Office is the only supporting character I look forward to seeing more than her.

Just noticed I messed up the date. Put today's instead of yesterday's in the thread title. Oops.

Wow. Great episode. Easily the best of the season and definitely bucked the trend of the hourlong's sucking the big one. I enjoyed Alyssa Milano (outside the lame tv sitcom), but keeping her on would have been awkward with Earl trying to concentrate on the list.

I loved Earl putting on his glasses making some lame quip like David Caruso. That was a riot but the neighbor screaming like Roger Daltrey put it over the top. Funniest joke all season.

How about when Randy said:
"That Creamsicle looking guy is named Horatio"

Uhhh ... I couldn't help but notice that NBC presented this show as the "Finale"; *not* the "Season Finale'". (Last week when the ep was "promoed" it was referred to as the "Season Finale"; but that changed last night.)

So ... Was this, in fact, the last episode of "Earl" ?

If so, it was a good way to go out!

That and when he put the glasses on he didn't look directly at the camera. The whole bit was just genius.

I loved the twists and turns of this season, it's nice to see a show change it's format while still sticking to it's overall theme.

Although it probably doesn't need to be said, I will say it anyways:

Alyssa Milano is still hot

I really liked the last couple of episodes, but up to that point, the season was just dreadful.

Good season finale. Kinda strange that Earl was so easygoing about divorcing Billie.

Interesting that we haven't seen a Paco/Catalina story yet

I had a lot of *groan* moments this season, whereas the first two seasons were really good.

When it comes back next season, let's hope it does its best to recapture the original genius of it.

Who was the guy that had that well-timed scream, but just stepped on a nail? He had his name (I'm guessing) on his t-shirt, but didn't recognize it.

While I always hope for the best, even the sub-par 'Earls' are fine by me. I think they've done a great job establishing a real sense of community with the residents and locations that I'm content just to sit back and see who they encounter in any given week.

I figured he won a walk on role in some contest or something.
