Didn't see a thread for this week's episode, please merge if thread does exist.

Looks like James Spader has his Emmy reel for 2008, his performance in front of the Supreme Court was hilarious, and I don't know of any other actor working in TV who could have delivered it with such aplomb and panache. That being said, I'm sure David Kelley must love using the character Alan Shore to air his beefs about all sorts of topics of today.

Yeah - that was certainly Spader's Emmy-submission episode.

The rant directed at the conservative foursome on the Court was completely absurd and typical DEK-leftyism, but entertaining. I took note that nobody on the 'Court' spoke except for the 'evil' ones; even the taciturn Thomas was vocal. DEK certainly went far out of his way to poke at Scalia. I did appreciate the accuracy that in a cap punishment case, as the consultant pointed out, all that matters is Justice Kennedy.

That being said, I far prefer the approach DEK took in the Picket Fences SCt episode.
