30 Rock -- "Succession" -- 4/24/2008

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
When Don decides to promote Jack and make him his successor over Devon, Jack decides to give his old job to Liz because she always has his back. However, a turn of events concerning Don's health compromises Jack's promotion. Meanwhile, Tracy thinks that his son is embarrassed of his career because he did not invite him to fathers day at school.

I love Rip Torn.

Awesome episode. The scene of Dr Spacemen running thru the halls with the cape was brilliant.

Hilarious episode. Sadly, I'm wondering if a 22 minute episode of 30 Rock will be funnier than 90 minutes of Baby Mama.

So very funny. Who the hell thinks "We need to do a parody of Amadeus," but damned if it wasn't hilarious.

I had been going back-and-forth on re-watching Amadeus on HDNet next month. But now I have to re-watch it. That was awesome.

I was a bit disappointed with this episode. It just didn't do it for me.

I thought this episode was the funniest one yet, after coming back from the writer's strike. Now excuse me, I need to go rest my thoughtsicles.

i wonder if they're going to continue the porn/videogame story, it was kinda left out there.

Amadeus parody was gold!

Best line was from Jack, "Banks, I hate respect you".

Yep. The synopsis for the season finale says: "Finally, Tracy (Morgan) is in the advanced stages of the invention that will be his legacy to his children."

Why don't they just remove Jane Krakowski from the opening credits already? She's never on the show.

I love how the photo of Tracy's kids was behind a bigger headshot of himself.

OMG what a great episode! I laughed out loud several times.

"Explain it to me in Star Wars."

This was one of the Top 3 funniest 30 Rocks, if not the funniest.

It's a shame that when I came to work today and wanted to "talk about it", no one watches 30 Rock but me.

Losers.

Dr. SpaceMan ruled this episode. Makes me wish Miss Guided was still on.

I think the best thing about this episode was Lemon's little "corporate vs. me" dance.

Oh, and the cape... Priceless.

Tracy: You're like that guy who hated Mozart
Frank: Salieri?
Tracy: NO THANK YOU I ALREADY ATE!

That line had me rolling

Liz's new look had me giggling throughout the episode.

I also loved Tracy's reaction to the thought of Tom Hanks in The Polar Express.

Perhaps the funniest part of an episode full of hilarity was the fact that Frank just happened to have a chart explaining the Uncanny Valley handy.
